Well .. as it will probably add to your dred ... I love Howard the Duck.  I think it got a really bad rap being related to Lucas.  Shortly after "Return of the Jedi" and "Temple of Doom" <groan> I think the wrong things were expected.  So you are been warned ... I like it
Thank you

I liked it, too. Maybe because I never read the comics, so I came with no preconceived notions. And it has Lea Thompson! What's not to like...?  :P

The problem with this film is the fact that Howard the Duck wasn't a kid comic book (seriously even if this is an alien duck the content was for a mature audience) and the film is filled with lame jokes for two years old  and lame wordplays. This is why the film had a bad reputation like every comic book adaptation who doesn't respect his source materials or the target audience.

But you get a young Lea Thompson so it's better than nothing I guess

I like Howard the Duck too.  It has problems..there is no denying that, but I find it entertaining.
From what I've read after seeing the movie, it is nothing like the original comics.  It is like they were trying to aim at kids with some of the stuff, but still with some of the adult themes in there - Playduck and things of that nature.  It is...odd.  But I like that at times.

I like Temple of Doom too.

I watched Temple of Doom on Sunday. I noticed its problems more than in the past (Kate Capshaw's character is really highly annoying on repeat viewings), but the good stuff outweighs it by far.

What ensues is painful soul-searching for Jim, Elaine, and their family.

The Truth About Jane
Jane's mom (Stockard Channing) assumes her daughter is just like every other sixteen-year-old girl - a little confused about growing up.
