This used to be one of my favorite online retailer although I had not ordered from them for a while.  I was going to place an order tonight although they're a bit more expensive because they have the 3 movies I wanted in stock would ship tomorrow.  However when time came to checkout I got a big disapointment, they no longer offer free shipping for orders over 39$

That's totally wrong, the canadian dollars is worth more than the u.s one now.  Our dollar has gone from 80 cents to over 1.00 u.s in the last year or so but the price of DVD's has never come down on cinemamontreal.com (like most canadian retailers anyway) but they're still not happy with cashing on the strong dollar now they won't even pay for shipping anymore.

Well I'm tired of being ripped by canadian retailers so excuse my language but i say FUCK THEM !  I'm gonna keep ordering from DD who never gave me free shipping anyway because I'm in Canada but in the end it'll be cheaper.

I don't order from DD because I'm always scared of the customs charges, but what you just said about Cinema Montreal, is exactly why I'm now mostly ordering from Amazon Marketplace. I usually wait for someone to post the DVD at a lower price, and then even with shipping at a fixed 3.49$ per DVD, at least, you don't pay taxes, so it cancels each other out.

I only use Amazon (ca) for my pre-order, I prefer to buy when the dvd is release and I always add some other stuff to reach the 39$ free shipping limit. But if I want something who is not new, I'll use marketplace (mostly Caiman) since the price is much lower than the Amazon one. Just like Sebastien I've no problem with the fix shipping price since no taxes are paid, I always buy new even if the used price is sometimes much lower (not always the case, one crazy seller always ask 4 or 5 times the Amazon price for his used dvd).

I don't buy from French Canadian website at all : too pricy and, more important, I don't trust them...

Just try Marketplace Eric, you will appreciate it. The only risk is that you could buy to many dvd

P.S : If you want I can give you a list of sellers that I have made good transaction with.

Edit : Talking of pre-order for the next few weeks I will use the "What'ya got?" topic like a crazy guy. 32 movies on pre-order are suppose to have make their way to my home at the end of june... and my familly already think that I'm insane
