Have you region 1-ers bought Spaced yet? Now there's a proper sitcom!  :P

Yes, the idea was to do a similar marathon as "Spaced". Though I wanted to ask first, which interval you guys would like. One episode per week like last time? A disc per week? Something else?

I am willing to spearhead it again. But as I said, I am probably the last one who will get the set. You will have to be patient a little more  :tease:

One episode a week sounds a little slow to me personally. A disc a week sounds better to me. But I will be happy to go with whatever the majority wishes.

and no problem on waiting.

We all don't watch DVDs at your pace Pete.  ;)

I do agree that an episode a week is too slow though. I guess a disc a week is OK with me. Would be an episode a day (+/-). They're only 22 minutes(ish). Count me in with Pete - whatever the majority wants is OK with me.

Sorry, Tom, I thought Achim was the last one waiting for the discs. No problem at all waiting till you get yours

Amazon.com shipped my box on Sep 5th. One episode is a bit slow, I'd agree on either 5 (monday - friday) or 3 (friday - sunday).

Lets see... Disc break-down...

Disc 1 - 6 episodes
Disc 2 - 6 episodes
Disc 3 - 5 episodes

Options so far:
1 Episode per Week -  will take us 17 weeks to complete.
1 Disc per Week - 3 weeks to complete (6 eps for 2 weeks 5 eps the final week)
5 Eps per Week - 4 Weeks (5 eps for 3 weeks plus 2 episodes for the final week)
3 Eps per Week - 6 Weeks (3 eps for 5 weeks plus 2 episodes for the final week)

Hopefully that is of help to those that don't have the set yet. I am ok with any of the above but personally would prefer 1 Disc per week.
Pete

Ok that's it. You've been speaking about it so much*, I'm giving in. I will buy a copy for myself. Going to get it tonight (if they have it in stock) so I'll join in your little party.

Also, in case you end up having a Terminator party, I'll get that too.

And if you're interested, we could, in the future, have a Dexter party, I'll get that too.

There goes my drive for 3 months without buying!

Ok ok, the real reason is you've made it sound so funny, and pretty lady Kaley is in it

My Dexter Season 1 set has shipped yesterday. I have never seen it before. So I would be joining the Dexter party, too.

Remember, Pete. Chances are, that the marathon will cut into your October marathon. Still willing to do 1 disc per week?

A disc a week would be like one episode per day (all except 1 or 2 days depending on the week) I can easily slip in 22 minutes per day in between a couple of movies. It wouldn't phase me any I don't think. Come to think of it... I would probably do an episode before I start my horror for the day.  :P

My last order included all three of those! Big Bang Theory obviously, but also Dexter Season 2 and Terminator :) We can have group marathons for a while now...

As for speed: I remember doing the Spaced (only 12 episodes total) marathon. As we were only watching 1 episode per week I occasionally forgot to watch it, only being reminded by Tom's review on the board. I would like to go with either 1 disc per week or per fortnite (sp?).

Well I started watching my set and can advise it will be pretty easy watching a disc per week, it is very good viewing

I'm not too deep into disc 1 yet so will hold back for the remainder of the series until everyone gets their copies

cheers
