ya_shin it's completly unrelated to your post, but I have a question. I've notice on your phpdvdprofiler collection that the language is set as french, is it because you've have edit it in a way that it knows the primary language of the visitor? Or is it because your second language is french? Another one : What do you do to have the "buying place" graph?

Enough question for today, but I have them since some time  :whistle:

No, my second language is not French. My second language is English (first is german ;)) and I actually no hardly any French at all. And there is nothing I did myself there. If it is automatic (yes, the browser/website can determine your system setting and adjust accordingly), it should work for your phpdvdprofiler as well. Or maybe you changed the language on my site once (easily done through the left hand menu) and it's now remembered through a cookie?

Well, I did not really do anything special for the buying place graph. It should be part of the phpdvdprofiler package.

I know that you are German, But I've always heard that the European learn much more alien language than us. That's why I was impress that you use english, french and probably another asian language. But you're right it's probably a cookie. But I rest impress with the European people : here we know our native language and we learn english too (not gramatically corect at all in my case  :laugh:), I've learn some spanish too but I've completly lost it because of the lack of practice (not too many Spanish peoples where I live)

How do you do to have it in your graph selection on your online collection?

I have been seen uttering a few words of Mandarin Chinese, yes, but I would hardly say I "speak the language". I have learned English in school and later on a little bit of French (totally 4 years), but the latter is almost entirely forgotten.

Europe is a good place to learn several languages, if one wants to, as it's fairly easy to go somewhere and practice! If I knew French, I could reach France in a few hours. If I know Italian, I could go to Italy rather quickly too. Same with Spanish and Spain, etc.

As I said, I didn't do anything myself, really. I'll check tonight which file is needed for it then you can make sure it's aviable for you. Also I can have a look at the localsiteconfig again, making sure there isn't indeed a setting that can potentially remove that graph... (three graphs are like that, I am not sure right now if this is one of them).

Jimmy, here's your answer regarding the graphs. In localsiteconfig.php, look for these three variables. They should all be set to 1 on your installation. Just set the ones you want to see to 0

Quote
$displaymonth      = 0;
$displayplace      = 0;
$displaycurrency   = 1;

Yup, that's the one (just came back here to post the same). In my phpdvdprofiler you should see three charts which you don't have right now. Sebastien's solution will turn on two but leave the currency chart turned off; what you paid for your DVD in what months and what currency is probably just for yourself to know. (Actually, I should turn it off two...)

There is a way for just you yourself to see that "still missing" chart; let me know if you (just yourself, nobody else) want to see it when you visit your own site. (The variable that would need additional adjustment is $local_lan.)

The buying place graph works (not really beautifull since it only show 2 sellers and all the rest is in the others column). For the other two, I have the data offline and that's fine with me.

Thanks +1 each

Even if ya_shin was late to the game  :laugh:

The program will lump everything into the Other category that is below a certain percentage. So, it seems you do most your purchases Amazon and caiman, with only occasional purchases at any of those other shops you use. You can adjust that :)

Find these settings:

$localemin      ='0.05';
$placesmin   ='0.05';

and set them lower (like 0.01); then you will start to see additional sellers.

Works perfectly. But that made me see that my oldest dvd have no place of purchase in my database, since I have not entered this stat at the beginning. I will have to correct this

Oh yes, phpdvdprofiler is great for all sorts of neat things like that.

Like, have you noticed that you cannot only filter by Actors, but even by Roles?

Never remark that at all. I'm sure that they are a lot of things that I don't know  :whistle:
An htlm guide or an wikipedia entry would be very usefull for that. I know that I can ask in the phpdvdprofiler forum, but sometimes I read some answer who are way above my head to understand them  :-[

P.S : I promise to try to don't go off-topic in the future Eric  :laugh:

If Andy (AJM) and Fred (FredLooks) get too technical in their explanation, you can just ask them again to explain in layman's terms. They should be able to do it. They are remarkably knowledgeable about all this.

It's remarkable how the three of them (there is also Thimas (SH84)) complement each other with their skill.
