Maybe because they have a limited market in U.K ?  I don't buy country music so I don't know about the prices but are they expensive in North America ?

I like vinyl and haven't bought that many CDs. I didn't realize they were so expensive. A friend of mine buys CD lots from eBay and hasn't been unhappy with a purchase yet. You might want to check out second hand stores too - I often see CDs going for less than a dollar apiece.

I can't say I've seen many decent second-hand shops around here. It's all Age Concern or Oxfam. You're right about Ebay though. I don't buy many CDs, but they're always good for titles that don't seem to get included in sales.

Speaking of music, I was watching 'Later... with Jools Holland' last night and he had Brandi Carlile on. Really good, and cute too! Little bit Country. Go here: Brandi Carlile and you can find a video of her performance.

I do buy some stuff off of ebay and I've done pretty good so far, but sometimes a release that I'm after isn't on there but it is for the full price of say £17.00(US$32.00ish).

The average price of cds (and to an extent DVDs) always seems cheaper in the states and Canada than it does over here.

Certainly is. But I find over the last couple of years, if you're willing to wait, the price drops faster and further here. I tend to always find myself browsing US sites for new releases...
