It has been horribly hot here already this summer too.  Humid last few days...few days before that were nicer.  Temp is little lower, but with the humidity it is still miserable. 

The episode was ok.  Jane's mom can be annoying.  I get that she is worried about her daughter and now grandchild, but she needs to get that under control a bit more.  Her...hmmm...nagging or whatever gets Jane stressed which is not good.  After how she was, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if she "accidentally" said something in front of Jane's captain or the chief of police or something about Jane being pregnant to try to force her into safety. 
Korsak thinking about retirement doesn't mean that he will retire anytime soon though.  Some people do check on that stuff - how much the benefits will be and so on - years in advance..do more planning.  Maybe add to other retirement savings or something.  Or are just curious.  I don't think he'll be leaving either.  Though we could both be wrong I suppose.

I know the show is based on a series of books..havent' read them, so no idea how close they stay or what is changed.  I don't know if there is a Korsak in the books.  Hmm.

I can't even remember what the promo showed.  lol  Shows how much I was paying attention at that point.     Oh well...like you said, maybe something more interesting will happen.

So, Jane's mom (have forgotten her name) should mind her own business. Jane is an adult etc. She can take care of herself. EOD. It would surprise me if Korsak actually left the show. But as you said, we could be wrong tho. But why change a winning team eh? its a safe job for the actors and a good payday. And i dont know if he got some other\better projects in the works. Guess we'll find out soon enough. I think we will get alot of answers before the summerbreak in September.
So, this show is based by a series of books? I never knew that. How many books are there? 1 book = 1 season? Thats interesting tho. You should check them out, and let me know what you think (hehe)

Ohhh.....I forgot to mention yesterday...I think I got her brother's names mixed up.  I think Frankie is the cop and Tommy is the borderline screwup.  I know I was thinking Tommy was the cop before. 

Jane can take care of herself...mostly.  I get that her mom worries, but she goes a bit far at times.  and she keeps stuff from her kids too...like when she ended up owing the IRS all that money because of her jerk ex.  The more I think about it, the more I think she will let something slip in front of the wrong person about Jane being pregnant.  I don't think Korsak would leave either...though who knows.  That would suck even more being so soon after they dealt with Frost. 

I don't know how many books there are or how much of them end up in the show.  I think the one killer that went after Jane - I can't remember his name - was from one of the early books...but I could be wrong since I haven't read them.  I do have one of them in my many piles of books to read.  I just haven't gotten to it yet.

So, we are both a bit annoyed with Jane's mom huh? (Whats her name?) I've forgotten  But yeah, she got a big mouth. And ofc she will let something slip. Yeah, what happend with the IRS? Did she pay it all? I remember she kept it a big secret from Jane and Maura. But she told Korsak i remember. And when they found out they offered to help her out etc. But dont remember how it ended for her. Yeah, i too got the names mixed up between her brothers. But we knew who we meant
It would be interesting to know how many books there is. I tried to google it, but didnt find out :\

Yes I am annoyed with her mom too...and I can't remember her name either.  I know Maura has called her by name at times, but I just remember Jane and her brothers calling her mom.  lol
She definitely has a big mouth and likes to ....meddle in the lives of her children.  I get that she is worried...concerned...whatever.  But she goes overboard.  So I expect her to blab more at some point.  Wasn't she dating Jane's boss?  The Captain?  I know there was a big family type meal when Jane's dad showed up again because he was sick...and her mom had her boyfriend there too.  To show that she wasn't going to go running back to her ex and take care of him even though she was willing to do some things.  Anyway...what happened with that?  Hmmm.  I can't remember them breaking up or anything like that.  Hmmm.  I just saw some of those episodes again not long ago when TNT had some marathons on. 

With what she owed the IRS the one son paid it off.  The screw up...Tommy? There was some kind of lawsuit going on and he got a big settlement - I don't remember what the lawsuit was for - and he paid it off.  I think.  I'm thinking that she had told him about the IRS issue but not Jane..and maybe not Frankie...or Tommy.  Whatever.  lol  I should just call them the cop and the screw up.   

I did some looking...it looks like there are 10 books out with the 11th coming out in December.  The book I have is the second one..so I'll probably end up getting the first one now.     When it comes to books in a series, I prefer to read them in order.

Its been quuuiet here lately! Whatsup Marie? well, anyways.. The last two episodes was ok +. Nothing more for me. I've been a bit dissappointed the last few episodes. But a long season still. Alot can and probably will happen still. Not alot of talk about the baby issue in the last two episodes. So whats happening there? Nothing? Or will something explode soon? Who knows. But i still think something will happening. But still a good season so far. Was going to write alot more but its too hot here these days to even write or think.

The last few episodes were good...entertaining.  It did seem like Jane's mom pulled back a bit in the last episode after her talking about becoming a midwife in the one before that. 

Not to much going on with the baby.  Just mention of a doctor's appoint or two...Jane taking the prenatal vitamins once.  That's about it.  No more morning sickness or anything.  I think she's had at least a few doctor's appointments..not sure how far along she is supposed to be, but she should be putting on at least a few pounds before long.  Some women don't gain much, but she is still as stick skinny as ever.  That is going to be an issue as more time passes...making it less believable that she is pregnant if she doesn't gain a little weight. 

I don't remember it showing anything for the next episode in the preview with a potentially dangerous situation...shooting, Janey doing that flying sideways leap thing...explosions.  Who knows what they are planning at this point.

Well, nothing much to say really. So i'll just keep it short. R&I is turning out to be a great show so far. The cases are good. The banter between the caracters ar great. 5 great seasons so far. I'm looking forward to each new episode.

Yup.  It is a good show.  It is entertaining ...and it isn't irritating me over stupid stuff either.  lol

Hm, interesting episode! First, i think Jane's mom have lost it. What are they doing to her character?! Is this a way to write her of or what? I dont see what they are doing to her right now. Doesnt make much sense. And we saw Maura's dad again. Thats always interesting.
All in all, a fairly allright episode. I'm liking the S05 so far. And she's been pregnant for a while now, why arent there any signs of i

I don't get what is going on with Jane's mom either.  She said how happy she was with that guy she was dating but she decides to dump him because of a freaking fortune cookie?  And she quit her job?  Did she get hit on the head?  Is she having a a mid life crisis?  I don't get it.
It is interesting to see Maura's dad. 

I like the season too.  I know.  That's what I was saying last week.  Jane is far enough along now that she should have gained at least a few pounds by now.  She still looks like a walking toothpick. 

With the preview for next week, it looks like Jane is putting herself in a dangerous situation again....looks like hinting that she could be hurt again too.  So who knows.

Yeah, something weird is going on with Angela (?) Isnt that Jane's moms name? Maby she is going to have a smaller part? Or take some time off? Who knows. I just hope they have a reason to do what they are doing to her. I saw the sneak peek for next week aswell. And we are halfway trough the season? They are going with 15 episodes seasons so. And in early September they go on the "summerbreak" when the other shows starts up again. IF something happens with Jane and the "baby" it will either be as a cliffhanger to the summerbreak, or the seasonfinale IMHO. Guess we'll see. So far i'm just enjoying the season so far, and hoping for more seasons. Its just a great show so far. And it have a potential to be a great show if they continue down this path.

Jane's mom's name might be Angela...phooey...I can't remember.  But that sounds right.  She does seem to be having some sort of midlife crisis or something.  She quit her job too.  What the heck?
It might be about halfway through the season now...Is it September when it goes on break?  Or mid August?  Either way, before much longer.  Something has to happen soon...either she loses the baby some way or she starts showing.  The longer she goes without looking like she is pregnant, the less believable it is. 

I've been enjoying the show too.  I thought I read it had been picked up for another season...or maybe that was Major Crimes.  Hmm...can't remember now.

Well, i just watched the episode. For me, great episode! And Angela (Janes mom) just had a small part in this episode. So maby she's taking a break or something. Who knows? But i liked the case, and i liked what happend with Jane (dont get me wrong) but we are starting to see something i think. And by the looks of things (saw the promo for next episode) its a "to be continued" episode. Interesting. Still in the hospital etc. Maby this is what will happen with her, and the baby. I think its in the end of August or 1st of September or something when they go on their summerbreak. But so far, so good. Really liked this episode tho! Just rememberd from last season, they had their last episode for the summer 1 weak before the other shows started back up again. (Castle, Bones, CSI) all those

I had to go to a class for work yesterday...didn't get home until the show was almost over.  It aired again after Perception and I was sort of watching..but I was so tired, I know I missed something.  Did Jane get shot?  I know something happened to hurt her the way she was moving and how she was holding her stomach.  But I don't know how she got hurt.  When I saw her moving like that, I started thinking here we go... this is going to cause her to lose the baby..then nothing really resolved at the end.  It does look like it carries into the next episode with her and that girl she was protecting at the hospital. 

I know Rizzoli & Isles, Major Crimes..all the TNT shows had stopped by the time the new shows started last year.  I honestly can't remember if there were a few weeks in between or not.
