Yesterday I got...

27 Dresses
| Year: 2008 | 111 Min.| IMDb | Trailer/Intro

Katherine Heigl stars as Jane, a selfless woman who's been a happy, helpful bridesmaid 27 times. But her own wedding seems to be nowhere in sight, until younger sister Tess (Malin Akerman) captures the heart of Jane's boss (Edward Burns) — with whom she's secretly in love — inspiring Jane to change her "always a bridesmaid" destiny.

Predator
| Year: 1987 | 107 Min.| IMDb | Trailer/Intro

Deep in the jungle, several bodies have been discovered skinned and hanging from trees – although who or what could have done this is a mystery.  Military covert specialist Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his team are called in to eliminate the threat, but once in the heart of the menacing jungle, they discover something far worse than they could ever have imagined – the Predator – an alien which has come to Earth with cloaking technology, extensive combat skills and a desire to hunt humans for sport.

Predators
| Year: 2010 | 107 Min.| IMDb | Trailer/Intro

Robert Rodriguez presents Predators, a bold new chapter in the Predator universe. Adrien Brody stars as Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors mysteriously brought together on a jungle planet. But when these cold-blooded human "predators" find themselves in all-out war against a new breed of alien Predators, it's the ultimate showdown between hunter and prey.

Couples Retreat
| Year: 2009 | 114 Min.| IMDb | Trailer/Intro

Vince Vaughn leads an all-star cast in the laugh-out-loud comedy about eight friends whose vacation in paradise is one they'll never forget. Their group-rate vacation comes at a price when they discover that participation in the resort's unconventional couples therapy activities is anything but optional. Co-starring Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau, Faizon Love, Kristin Davis, Kristen Bell and Malin Akerman, Couples Retreat is a hilarious party in paradise, loaded with laughter and fun!

Deliver Us From Evil
| Year: 2014 | 118 Min.| IMDb | Trailer/Intro

A New York police officer, Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana), begins investigating a series of bizarre and disturbing, inexplicable crimes. When he uncovers that the crimes are of supernatural origins, he must join forces with an unconventional priest (Edgar Ramirez), schooled in the rituals of exorcism, to combat the frightening and demonic possessions that are taking over and terrorizing their city. Filled with action and thrilling suspense, the film is inspired by the book, which details Sarchie's bone-chilling real-life cases.

We're the Millers
| Year: 2013 | 119 Min.| IMDb | Trailer/Intro

Small-time pot dealer David Clark (Jason Sudeikis) must become a big-time drug smuggler, and devises a foolproof plan. He convinces his neighors – stripper Rose (Jennifer Aniston), loser Kenny (Will Poulter) and runaway Casey (Emma Roberts) – to create a fake family. With one huge RV and a ton of laughs, the "Millers" head south of the border for a Fourth of July weekend that is sure to end with a bang.

At some point the show had so gone off the rails I decided to not even bother with the final season anymore. I just watched the final episode and the revelation of who GG is was as ridiculous (because implosible) as the last few seasons.

I only saw the first two episodes of the first season so far. My fiance wanted to complete the series, when we saw the remaining seasons in the bargain bin.

I actually liked the show for the years they were in high school. But then  - like many other HS shows - it became ridiculous because all these characters supposedly went to different universities (at least most of them in the North East) but they still managed to hang out in NYC on afternoons...

Let me give you this LOST advice: Don't bother trying to find out who GG is, just ignore that aspect of the story. Think of GG as an omniscient narrator not bound to the mortal shell of any of these characters.

over the last few days...

Elf
| Year: 2004 | 97 Min.| IMDb | Trailer/Intro

Buddy (Will Ferrell) is different from all of Santa's other elves. For one thing, he's "a cotton-headed ninny muggins" when it comes to making toys. For another, he's 6'3". And the real clincher: he's human! So one special December, Buddy sets off on a holiday adventure to New York City in quest of his real dad. How buddy finds his father (James Caan) and the meaning of Christmas is a joyous, jaunty, sweet-as-a-candy-cane gift for everyone who loves bright contemporary comedy – and timeless all-family classics.

A Christmas Story
| Year: 1983 | 93 Min.| IMDb | Trailer/Intro

The Christmas spirit isn't served up with more heartfelt warmth or observant hilarity than in this beloved adaptation of Jean Shepherd's holiday story. In 1940s Indiana, nine year old Ralphie (Peter Billingsly) dreams of his ideal Christmas gift: a genuine Red Ryder 200-shot Carbine Action Air Rifle. But when gruff dad (Darren McGavin) and doting mom (Melinda Dillon) regularly respond with "You'll shoot your eye out!" Ralphie mounts a full-scale, hint-dropping, Santa-begging campaign. He also endures a slew of calamities from snowsuit paralysis to the yellow-eyed Scotty Farkus affair to the dreaded tongue-on-a-frozen-flagpole gambit. We triple-dog-dare you to unwrap a more welcome Yuletide classic!

A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas
| Year: 2011 | 90 Min.| IMDb | Trailer/Intro

High holy days are here again, only a little higher and a lot less holy. After years of drifting apart, Harold and Kumar reunite when a prize Christmas tree accidentally goes up in smoke. On the way, the two find song, dance, and the true spirit of Christmas. And they just might meet a mythical figure back from the dead: the one, the only...Neil Patrick Harris.
