yeah, not really looking forward to the ride. But it does sounds slightly easier knowing I will be able to have my laptop the entire time. And will be bringing the Walking Dead sets!

But don't forget to actually talk to your daughter on the way.
You recently watched the
Harry Potter
movies,
you know
you'll only see her once a year from now on and when you see her she wishes she'd be back at school the whole time.

What do you all think?... I was thinking of instead of updating several threads on several different sights that I may start up a blog that I can update with my all of our trip updates and pictures. And then just share the links to the blog. It may be easier that way.
And if I do this... does anyone know of a good free one. Preferably one that I can easily link to my facebook for family members and friends.

Tumblr.com is really easy to use, especially with posting pictures.
You just create an account, a blog name, then choose a layout and then you post text entries or upload pictures.
No tedious and complicated configuration, just off you go and you can send all your Tumble content to Facebook automatically.

Looked at Tumblr... not sure I like the looks of it personally. I am also looking at LiveJournal. I think I may have used it in the past. And it seems more straightforward in use to me.

Which looks do you mean?
There's a variety of Blog layout from which you can choose without doing any designing yourself. They go from simple to extravagant.
For example here's a fantasy blog which mostly posts pictures and animated gifs:

The backend is rather simple to use. You choose what kind of posting you wish to make (text entry, pictures, a video) and then you simply enter it:

It's not the simplicity of it... I don't know... hard to explain. I just don't care for the feel of the page if that makes any sense.

Make sure she checks with the college about ways to lower tuition. In addition to grants, loans etc. they often have work programs that she can do that can even give her free tuition.
