True about those lens flares, but it's been in Star Trek, Super 8, maybe others.

I trust he can make it a well directed piece, but a lot will depend on the script...

Not convinced.

Although with JJ's attention span it could change by then. I'm surprised he managed to maintain it for Trek 2.
