The books do get darker and more complicated as the series continues.  There are a lot of little things, just a random mention of something, that will come back up again in later books too.
The way everything ends up connecting and getting resolved is rather impressive.

Easy read.. With that i mean, 'easy books to read' not to complicated etc.. (bear with me here please) the stuff you read isnt heavy etc. If that made any sense? (I'll do my best to explain, since English isnt my first language) After what i've heard the books are 1000 pages+ ?  But after what you guys are saying about the books, i will give them a chance. I'll ask around and see if someone in my family or maby a friend of mine got'em. And i'll give them a try :)

To give you an example .. Arthur C. Clarke can be very 'heavy' to read.  Where Robert Hienlien usually much easier.  Stranger in a Strange Land though interesting and a great read is very light ... in comparison to say .. Rendezvous with Rama or The Fountains of Paradise :D

The HP books are a good *easy* read throughout.
Thank you

Yes I agree..the Potter books are an easy read.  There are things that carry from book to book...and some that are mentioned once and not again until the last book..but even with that, it isn't too complicated to keep track of.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the longest - Umbridge is even more evil and twisted in the book.  Oh how I loathe that character.  Anyway..it has something like 875 pages.  The first 2 are a little longer than 300 pages...the third is almost 450.  Goblet of Fire is almost 750.  Half-Blood Prince is about 650 and the final book is about 750.  This is based on my copies of the books...I don't know if the versions from other countries vary any in length.

Oh, thanks guys! That answerd alot of my questions. I've always thought the HP book series was something like the LOTR bookseries. But i'm wrong.
And i would think that the Norwegian books are the same size as the American\English' ones. I'm going to check up with some friends, see if they got some of the books. And i do enjoy the movies. And if the books are better. Well ;) I could always buy them aswell, if the price is right ;)

Before test-reading the HP-series, be aware that the style of writing changes with the age of the characters.
Means:
While the first book is mainly written for children of ~ 10, the last book definitely isn't suitable for this age.

My Review:
Well, so i watched this today. And the movie is again one of those "found footage" type of movies. But how they did it, and with the story. They made it look a bit real. Something always happening. And the movie got some real good moments trough out. An for each "moment" they always made you guess what would happen next. I really liked this one. And how they made it look so more real, than some of the other ones. Great job. This was actually a great horror movie. A movie i will add to my horror marathon come October! Highly recommanded to check out.

My Review:
So, we're back at the school. Hermine, Harry Potter & co are getting older. And trying to get a hand on the magic. Still some way to go. And the story is getting a bit darker. But a good story, and a good continuation from the first movie. This might be the longest movie of the series. (Almost 3 hours!) But nonetheless, a great movie. And we see the cast is getting better, and it looks like they are starting to work better together. Anyways, another great Harry Potter movie! This is ofc highly recommanded aswell! And the runtime, (even tho almost 3 hours) you dont notice it)

And i will get to borrow the books from a good friend of the family. Hopefully next week! And then i'll give them a try! :)

My Review:
Even tho' i'm not a huge fan of Tom Cruise, i was interested to check this one out for a few reasons. 1, Tom Cruise in a quite different element then i'm used to see him in. 2, Morgan Freeman. The movie was actually a cool SciFi movie. Great special efects, cool story. And it was nice to see Morgan Freeman again. But I've seen Tom Cruise better. And there was a few spots here and there, that they could have done better. And the movie had amazing sound quality aswell. All in all, a allright ScI-Fi movie. I would recommand you guys to check it out, if you like  ScI-Fi.

Agreed .. Oblivion is/was a great Visual/Sound fest.  And anytime seeing Morgan Freeman is a great time.  I don't think he has ever let me down ... though sometimes it seems like he is just tossed in to give a film some cred.

I love the plot line ... "This groundbreaking cinematic event ..." Don't think I would go that far :)  But a good watch dispite TC
Thank you

And we started with the first one yesterday. And it was way better then i rememberd it to be. A great start to the franchise. A lot of great spots. And the blu-ray tranfers so far is fairly ok. For horrorfans and HD fans. This is ofc a must have\check out.

My Review:
So i've fallen a bit behind on my reviews. I've watched a couple of movies this week. But havent had time to write before now. And this movie i wanted to check because of a few things. 1, Morgan Freeman! 2, it was nice to see Gerard Butler again as a lead character. The movie was a mix between a war movie and a action movie. And i enjoyed it actually. But the story, and the charcater of Gerard Butler was a bit.. too good to be true. So i didnt quite belive in the story. But he did a good job IMHO. And so did Morgan Freeman. And for me, you should check it out if you are a fan of war\action movies. Or Butler\Freeman. Interesting movie. And some cool extras!
