I agree with you guys. $2BN is alot of tickets and movies. And for me, it doenst have to be all the 'Oscar' reasons why i love a movie. It can be small silly things. And even tho 'experts' might not likes some movies, i always like to see (as Sam said aswell) what other people thinks, and check out the trailer etc. The Forum here is a great way to find new\older movies to check out! (And even tho the acting isnt the greatest all the time) I'm glad they used the cast they did for the series.

Although we might disagree about somethings (and I wish you all better followed my tastes .. but you will come around ), this is a great forum to discuss likes/dislikes and know you aren't going to get blasted by someone.  Wish I could find something like this forum for music.

The Twilight film series has grossed over $2billion and that is a lot of tickets.

To be honest box office doesn't equal quality... it just means that a movie spent a huge ammount of money in marketing.

If that was the case that would meant that :

- The soundtrack of The Bodyguard is the 4th best album of all time,
- ...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears is the 20th best album of all time,
- Backstreet's Back by the Backstreet Boys is the 33th best album of all time,
- Millennium by the Backstreet Boys is the 34th best album of all time,
- Spice by the Spice Girls is the 36th best album of all time,
- etc...

See sales or popularity rarely equal quality...

But no where in my post did i say that *size matters*    But I did say that was a lot of tickets and that probably MOST of those people were not sorry they saw the film.  THAT is an indicator on the film.  Of course the *users* are just users ...

Plot:

My Review:
Well, that was interesting. I hadnt seen or heard much about this movie before. And when i found this offer, i thought why not? The movie itself is ok, got a cute story, with some funny lines here and there. And i liked the most of what they have done with the movie. But not the greatest animated movie i've seen. But when you watch it in 3D, (wich i did) its just so amazing! What they have done with the 3D efects on this one, is just breathtaking some places in the movie. One of the better 3D movies i've seen actually. For the animated movie itself without 3D, i wouldnt recommand it so highly. But its highly recommaned to check this 3D flick out! Its just amazing!

My Review:
Well, that was the last movie in the 3D offer i got a while back. And to be honest, i didnt expect too much from this movie, didnt hear much about it etc. But i got finally around to check it out today. Was real interested to check out both the movie and the 3D efect, compared to the 2 other movies. And i have to start of by saying that i see what they was trying to do, both with the story in the movie. And with the script. And with the 3D efects (depts, popouts) BUT however. (for me personally) I couldnt go much more wrong. The story was 'a bit typical' the lines was akward at times, and it didnt feel 'right' some of the things were a bit too rushed. And there wasnt ONE moment i actually 'LOL'D' in the movie. There was a few places it made me smile, but thats about it. (unfortunatly) To make it work for me, they would have done alot of things different. Starting with the story and the manus. And for the 3D side of things. To be complete honest with you guys, that wasnt that many of them. A few ok depts shot, a few popouts. But thats about it. For me, unfortunatly this is a movie that i will forget quite soon. A movie that really dissapointed me. A movie that i wouldnt recommand you guys to check out. Skip it. There is alot better out there IMO.

Shame you didn't like the film or the 3D. I've seen and enjoyed the movie before but the 3D version is in my pile. Maybe I'll put it towards the back!

Well, if you enjoyed the movie, then why not check it out? I hadnt seen it before i watched it today. Even 3D or 2D. But for me, the 3D it wasnt much to talk about IMO. Did you check out the 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 3D' yet?
Thats what i really like about this forum, we both agree and disagree about movies we've seen.

My Review:
Going in to this one, i didnt expect too much really. I heard alot of great things about it. But didnt much many trailers etc. And i have to say that it was worth it. The movie was a great movie, with a solid performance by the leads. And the story caught me, i was glued to the tv. (And since its based on a true story) its not much you can do i guess. And the fact that the movie is based on a true story and from MM is just a big plus IMO. And it was nice to see Emma Watson aswell, even though her role wasnt that big. This movie was just a strong movie from the start to finish, a solid performance by Michelle Williams, and those behind the scenes\camera's did a good job aswell. But speaking of that, the sound quailty of this blu wasnt the best i've seen. They could have done a bit better there. And just a few small things they could have done better. But all in all, a great movie, that i recommand you guys to check out. IMO its worth the 99minutes of your time.

My Review:
Ah, this small bugdet movie, with a fairly unknow 'Jennifer Lawrence' in the lead (at the time) just came out of nowhere a few years ago, and blew me away. This dark movie with a sad story, about a young girl on the look after her father, in need to save whats left of her family and house. Even though it didnt happen alot of stuff all the time, the movie had its great mix between its suspence and drama trough out. I was glued (once again) to the tvscreen trough out the movie. And Jennifer Lawrences performance in this movie was just amazing. (Well worth the Oscar nom IMO) I'm starting to be a bigger and bigger fan of her. Just an amazing actress IMO. And the people behind the cameras too, with the sound, the light's etc. Just fit the mood and the movie perfectly. A small movie, but a great movie IMO. A movie that i really enjoy watching. One of the better movies i've seen in quite awhile. And its ofcourse highly recommanded to check this out!
