Next Series to Watch?
« on: February 29, 2012, 12:40:49 AM »
Where I am just about done with Sliders and pretty close to finishing Ghost Whisperer I was thinking about what series I should watch next. I would like to work on something people are interested in reading about. You are allowed multiple votes so please vote for all series you are interested in! So I was wondering if there is any interest in any of the following...

American Gothic
Finally, the complete cult hit series American Gothic, produced by Sam Raimi and created by Shaun Cassidy, comes to DVD for the first time ever! Visit Trinity, South Carolina, a small town with more chills than charm. Sheriff Lucas Black (Gary Cole) won't let anyone — including local doctor Matt Crower (Jake Weber) or the determined Gail Emory (Paige Turco) — stand in the way of his evil plans. Marking the 10th anniversary of its broadcast debut and packed with all 22 episodes, including four "lost" ones never broadcast on network television, American Gothic's eerie storylines of intrigue and suspense are sure to hold you captive!

Birds of Prey
Who will stand up to villains now that a heartbroken Dark Knight has mysteriously vanished? Never fear, New Gothamites, a trio of champions is ready to take wing - and Helena, the daughter of Batman and Catwoman, is among them. She calls herself Huntress and crime is her prey. Teenaged Dinah is the youngest of the group, learning as she goes and gifted in clairvoyance. And overseeing the awesome threesome's high-tech nerve center is Batgirl. Left wheelchair-bound by The Joker, she has reinvented herself as Oracle, the team’s cyber expert. Huntress, Dinah, Oracle: They are the Birds of Prey. Fighting together. Living together. And soaring into adventure together in 13 breathtaking live-action episodes.

Dark Angel
In a future of political, economic and moral collapse, a genetically enhanced superhuman prototype named Max escapes from military confines and dwells amidst the decadent underground street life of *Seattle* to avoid government agents who want to bring her back into the fold. Searching for others of her kind who were scattered in the aftermath of her escape, Max encounters Logan, an idealistic cyber-journalist battling repression and corruption in post-apocalypse America. Eventually, Logan calls her to the highest part of her being and Max becomes his samurai as the pair takes on the ruthless power-brokers of the new millennium. Max and Logan's odyssey leads them closer to the secret of her past, deepening and complicating their relationship in the process.

Forever Knight
A drama about an 800 year old, angst ridden vampire who lives in present day Toronto as a homicide detective in an attempt to repay for his sins and regain his mortality, with the aid of Natalie Lambert, a mortal coroner, while trying to keep his secret from his partner. His quests are hindered by his tormented past and his seductive 2000 year old master, Lucien Lacroix.

Joan of Arcadia
Millions of people speak to God. What if God spoke back? Life just got a hell of a lot more confusing for teenage Joan Girardi, who already deals with feeling out of place in her family : her police chief father, her somewhat overbearing mother, her geeky younger brother and former football star older brother, now paralyzed. They'd never believe her if she told them that God is talking to her. Does Joan have a higher purpose on earth, or are these strange conversations just in her head?

No Ordinary Family
After 16 years of marriage, Jim (Michael Chiklis, "The Shield," Fantastic Four) feels disconnected from his workaholic wife, Stephanie (Julie Benz, "Dexter"), and two teenage children. To encourage bonding time, the family joins Stephanie on her business trip to South America. When their plane crashes into the Amazon River, they barely enjoy a moment to celebrate their survival before returning to the grind of everyday life. But they will soon realize that their lives have been forever changed. Each member of the family starts to show signs of new, unique and distinct superpowers. Will their newfound abilities finally bring them together or push them further apart?

Roswell
Roswell is a sci-fi drama about teenage alien/human hybrids living in Roswell , New Mexico who attempt to survive as humans and hide their alien identities while discovering more about their individual powers - all the while figuring out how to return to their home planet. Roswell intertwines romance and science fiction, and always keeps audiences guessing. The television show was based on the " Roswell High" book series written by Melinda Metz. Starring: Katherine Heigl as Isabel; Jason Behr as Max; Shiri Appleby as Liz; Brendan Fehr as Michael; William Sadler as Sheriff Valenti; Majandra Delfino as Maria; Colin Hanks as Alex; Nick Wechsler as Kyle; and Emilie de Ravin as Tess.

Roswell is one of my fave shows of all time. I love it, despite its many flaws.

It has been years since I seen Roswell! But I remember enjoying it when I did watch it. Which is why it is on the list. Plus I been a fan of Katherine Heigl every since first seeing this series... so that don't hurt any either!  :P
