DJ, thank you for the wish and may I echo it to all our members.
Since my wife is affected with SAD, we celebrate the Winter Solstice.
We usually build a bonfire to ward off the cold and darkness and
dance around it in celebration.
I often think of the Duids at Stonehenge in a similar celebration.
Unfortunately, she is down in Phoenix at her fathers. I will join her tomorrow.
Lack of timely information from her sister kept me from traveling with her.
I could not get the time off to travel with her at the same time.
I will fly out of Seattle tomorrow after I get off work to join her.
We go down there annually to spend Christmas with her father who is 87 this year.
He is diabetic and needs constant monitoring. Her sister is caring for him and my wife
makes frequent trips down there to give her sister a break from the caregiving.
Although he is no more a pagen than we are, he enjoys the celebration
as much as we do. We will celebrate a day late this year.
