Cabin Fever 4: Outbreak (2012)

Indomina Group have picked up the rights to the series and will film CB3 and CB4 back to back for release in 2012.
Synopsis for CB4:
Quote
“Cabin Fever: Outbreak” is being written by Adam and Deborah Marcus (“Leatherface 3D,” “I Walked With a Zombie”). In this film a doctor and his family travel to a remote Caribbean island to investigate a minor flu outbreak, only to discover a vicious flesh-eating virus that threatens everyone on the island. The family is faced with responsibility to prevent a worldwide epidemic.

Only seen the first about 7-8 years ago. Can't remember much about it at all though remember opinions were mixed. Not seen the second, heard nothing but bad things.

The first one was alright as a low-budget horror outing and a debut feature. It didn't need the first sequel and it certainly doesn't need two more.

I guess stuff like Contagion () makes them feel that viruses can scare people again and again...

Yeah, especially with a new 'virus' every few months that is big news (bird flu etc etc).

I thought the first one was horrendous and never bothered with the others. Barrel being scraped?

Not a good film by any means, but not horrendous in my book. They brought the element of the kids becoming suspicious of each other in there, which made it more interesting than it could have been otherwise. Also, some good gore can never hurt such film.

Yes.

I can't stand Eli Roth (yeah I know he had nothing to do with this one) since I've listen all the stupidity he said on the commentary for Bloodsucking Freaks (even me I would have done a better job) and read all his whining in Fangoria. Just another hack who think he worth a lot more than what he really worth (Brad Sykes is better than him and he is the director of the Camp Blood films for crying out loud...)
