Topic: Who is the Greatest Actor of all time in your opinion ?????

To me i reckon the Greatest actor of All time is Al Pacino not just because he is a master in the gene of movies i like. I do generally think he can pull off nearly any role in the acting world the guy is obviously one of the greatest actors of all time but weather or not he is the greatest of all time allot of people will say he is but allot of people will say he's not. lol

But in my eye's he is the greatest Actor of all time so who is the greatest Actor of all time in your eyes ?

I find it impossible to single out anyone or anything as the greatest - I just can't do it.

Yes Robert De Niro is a great actor he was a close 2nd for me he stared in some great movies in the 70's (Mean Streets,The Godfather Part II,Taxi Driver) and in the 80's too (Once Upon a Time in America,The Untouchables,) i thought he played some great parts in the 90's too (Goodfellas,Casino,)

in the 2000's i thought he done good in (Meet the Parents,Little Fockers) especially with them being roles that he's not used to.

anyway i just named the movies i have seen I'm sure there is loads more feel free to recommend movies i should see which i haven't, i like De Niro playing the mobster lol

Johnny Depp (Early Works)

I take it your not a fan of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean or as Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ? a thought he was OK in Sweeney Todd.

i admit some of his early roles where the best nd hard to live up too like (Edward Scissorhands,Donnie Brasco,Sleepy Hollow,) that;s out of the ones i have seen of his early work I'm sure i missed out a couple of great movies i missed out    A Nightmare on Elm Street cause he only had a small infact nah it wasn't really small i suppose     A Nightmare on Elm Street too lol

But the Fockers Trilogy....? Never. The first o e had it's merits, but then it went downhill quickly.

I like to think of him as the actor from Platoon, Dead Man, Gilbert Grape, Benny & Joon and Cry Baby where he really showed all his capabilities. With Pirates of the Carribean this development has stopped and he's only showing us variations of "Captain Jack Sparrow". Since he's extremely successful with this he can't be too wrong and he's still an outstanding actor, just not as good as he once promised to be.

I understand what you mean maybe De Niro should have never have took this role cause we all know he's a action guy. I have never actually seen Heat that's why i never mentioned it all have to check it out.

yes his early stuff was great yes i forgot about Plantoon i have seen that to i actually have it in the old DVD collection. lol as you can probably see i like a good old Mobster movie i thought Johnny was amazing in Donnie Brassco he pulled the role off great and his Italian American voice sounded spot on too me. Two great actors working along side each other Johnny Depp and Al Pacino that movie couldn't fail lol
