I was liking Breaking In.  Lie to Me and Human Target weren't bad either.  Fox is good at doing this.

I got to the point to where I don't even bother getting into shows that air on Fox anymore.

Ditto NBC.  They've screwed me multiple times over the past few years. I recorded The Cape and just waited to see how it would do.  When it failed, like most of their other shows, I just deleted the recordings.

I think studios need to rethink their business model.  I know tons of people who do what I do.  Wait to see how something does before jumping into it.  Meanwhile, they're not getting the numbers they want so they cancel.  If they weren't so trigger happy on the cancel button and gave things a chance, they might see more people willing to watch.  It's a catch-22.  Or I'm a statistical minority and what I just said is rubbish.  What do I know about the TV business?

I am the same way. I also did the same thing with The Cape as well as several others over the last few years.

I haven't watched much new stuff on Fox for a few years because of this nonsense.  I watched Breaking In because there isn't anything else on at that time that I was watching, so I decided to give it a try.  Looks like I shouldn't have bothered.

I hate how networks do...don't give shows much of a chance and then they are cancelled.

I haven't seen any of those shows. Of course I don't watch TV shows until they come out on DVD.

I can't even remember the last time I watched a show that I knew started on that channel. I haven't turned to the channel (except in passing or for sports) in probably 8 years.
I have a collection.
It can be found here.
No need to check it often.
I update it only twice a year!

Honestly, are any of these shows worth shedding tears over?

My impression is that the only watchable thing on Fox for quite a while now has been House (which already has been renewed) - a show that by all means should have overstayed its welcome long ago. Okay, maybe Bones is watchable too, but I never paid attention to that.

Bones is about the only thing left I watch on Fox. But there has been many shows that I really liked a lot that they never gave a chance. I can't say about these shows in particular. As I all but given up on the channel before they came on.

But what this thread does show is they haven't changed for the better.

I watch Bones, Fringe, and The Simpsons.  That's really it.
I didn't bother with any of their new shows this year before Breaking In started a few weeks ago..and like I said before..that was just because of not having anything else at that particular time that I really liked.

Is Family Guy on Fox? The writers often do gags at the networks expense, especially Fox News...

Yes, it is.  It's part of their Sunday night animation block.

Personally, I don't watch anything on Fox anymore either, not even The Simpsons.  The last episode I caught, I thought it was pretty poor.  This is definitely one shot that's stayed longer than it should have.

I'll watch Family Guy sometimes...mostly because there isn't anything else on at that time that I want to watch.
