Die Hard: With A Vengeance
King Kong
Live Free or Die Hard (could be mistaken on that one)
X-Men (Not sure if you would count this one or not)

DH3: You're right, I forgot that any of the DH movies did actually took place in NY.

DH4: I'll leave it out, because I left all movies out that take place on too many different places (and I is driving around a lot outside NY IIRC)

KK: Thx, that one counts

X-Men: I never thought about where X-Men took place, but now you mention it, they blow up the Statue of Liberty

Thx :)

Truly one of my very favourite films, full of fantastic dialogue, an absolute joy to watch anytime...

The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3

Otherwise, does The Apartment take place in New York? Can't remember.

I seemed to remember a few of the Fox Film Noir series taking place in New York, so I checked...

Laura
The House on 92nd Street
I Wake Up Screaming
(and it's remake, Vicki)
14 Hours

That'll do for now! ;)

EDIT: Just thought of another... Planet of the Apes  Well, it could be Manhattan!

Well, tut.  :redcard:

Nah, fair enough. If you aren't collecting the noir series there's no reason why you would have those really. Laura is worth getting though if you have any interest in old school thrillers.

But I implore you, go out now and get a copy of The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3. It's a classic 70s heist with one of the best endings ever. I think it's more "New York" than most that you've listed, because of all the fantastic dialogue...

Quote
Mayor: Warren, suppose the hijackers start shooting at me?
Deputy Mayor Warren LaSalle: Will you stop? They have no reason to shoot at you.
Mayor: Why - do you think they're from out of town?
Deputy Mayor Warren LaSalle: Get dressed, Al. I'll do the jokes.

Talking of 70s thrillers, where is The French Connection in your list, dammit? Again with the :redcard: :tease:

I just looked it up and of course I know it. I only knew it under it's german name.

I don't have it on DVD, though.
