I was considering upgrading to the new one... but I was worried whether or not some of my pluggins would still work with the new. I may still try to upgrade before too long though since I haven't seen that complaint in this thread.

Firefox 4 has been in beta for so long ... My guess is almost all the popular addons have been updated. I know the ones I use have all been updated.

I went ahead and upgraded to 4... only a couple minor addons weren't compatible.

That's my concern using FF4 as well. But I heard rumors from the Norton community that the toolbar is supposed to be updatet in may.

Looks like I'll be waiting until May.  I use the Norton toolbar all the time.

The settings are carried over. The layout of the new FF4 is just different (e.g. no menu bar, no bookmarks bar) but you can reactivate them. I even put the page refresh button back to where it belongs.
Good, it would have been terrible otherwise.

I have downloaded it, but not installed yet. But then, the OS X version might look slightly different. But, I remember the beta and it also had the tab in the upper section; in fact, it's apparently something they copied from a previous version of Safari (which Apple luckily has dropped in the meantime, I found that terrible).

You can move the tabs back down again. ;)

I don't know if this is a problem with firefox or java... but every since I upgraded to the new firefox whenever I open the program (or a new window... including pop-ups) I get this error...

What do you all suggest?

Looks to be one of your extensions.. Go to the addons manager and disable them all. Then reactivate them one at a time until you find the culprit.

EDIT

Actually, before doing that, you could go to START -> ALL PROGAMS -> MOZILLA FIREFOX ... and there should be a MOZILLA FIREFOX (SAFE MODE) link which will launch firefox with all your extensions disabled. If that fixes the error, it means one of your extensions is incompatible with FF4. Do what I posted above

It is indeed one of the add-ons. I disabled all of them. I am now in the process of turning them on one at a time to see what I can and can't use. Thank You! :)
