I'm really enjoying the DB quest line .. does that make me a bad person? ;)

I really like stalking my "prey" and striking at the best possible moment, mostly to avoid being see .. so what do I do to pass time? I pickpocket peope! hahaha

On a side note, I had to go to a certain crypt during the DB quests and let me tell you, a Draugr Deathlord is a scary adversary .. but it yielded a nice Ebony Bow and Ebony Arrows for me, and an Ebony Greatsword for Lydia! ;)

And for the horse, yeah it's gonna be fun to ride, but I don't think I will all that much .. I prefer having an unlimited pack mule

I am with you on this, so it can't be :D

My pickpocketing is still to low, so I can only take out one thing at a time and even then might get caught. But I am working on that. I am thinking of getting that second perk for this, allowing me to carry more stuff...

As we said before, it's the weak point of the assassin, he might rely too much on stealth and therefore get trouble in a full-on battle. I believe I fought a Draugr Deathlord once, may have been a low-level version though, and they are indeed rather tough. I occasionally try to stay out of sight while Lydia does her thing, then use the bow to get extra damage through sneak bonus if I should fall of the enemy's radar.

I had thought you dinished the quest line already, but apparently you don't, so you don't have the horse yet...

I am going to google now how to initiate the unlimited mule...

EDIT:
Found it. I assume you also use the method where you drop stuff (individually) and then make her pick it up? One question that the viedeo I found didn't address. Once she is technically overlaoded, this is the only way to have her accept more stuff? So once that point is reached I have to spend a few minutes every once in a while to drop everything and make her take it?

Pretty much. But there's a much easier way than dropping everything on the floor. Find a container - be it chest, urn ,bag, whatever - place everything you want to give her in it, and then tell her to Take All Chest! Then point at the chest, it'll be empty ;)

Just make sure to then trade with her, and pick back up a weapon or a piece of armor if your want her to equip the best stuff she has on her.

Nah. I'm actually doing a few quest lines at the same time, alternating between Thieve's, College and DB, even interspersing some misc quests.
One thing that has me worried now, and it's probably because I've fast travelling too much lately, is that I haven't fought a dragon in forever, and I have many shouts to unlock!

That sounds much less time consuming. I'll be carefull and try it with stacked items first, but I could imagine that problem of stacked items to get reduced to a single one should not apply here.

I am doing the same. Either following up on older quests that happem in the same area or just what happens through exploration. Same old, same old. It's hard to keep focus

I have a few souls stored and haven't unlocked all found shouts yet. Some don't make sense just by description, I'll have to either try them or read up on a Wiki... (Etheral Being or such...?) I wish I would find upgrades to shouts I have, instead I mostly keep finding new ones. :-\

I am still exploring enough to encounter the odd dragon regularly.

Well I'll be damned! Wonder if it's true of all quest item?
Had to laugh hard at that first comment. :hysterical:

Today Lydia died. She fought hard in battle and aw loyal to her end. I only wish she had helped carrying my stuff more willingly.

Of course, normally I would jut reload, but I accidentally overwrote over the previous save and the one before that was ore than three hours old with a bunch of hard battles after. So, looking for a new companion now, once I carried all the stuff she had on her home

I played some of Harry Potter Lego - Years 5-7.  I've just done the first little section.  I know I missed some stuff.  I was having fun...though the batteries in my Wii remote died while I was playing.  I had to "borrow" others from the tv remote to get to the save spot.   :hysterical:

Sad day indeed. Take Mjoll the Lionness. She's great! And somewhat kinda like Lydia in her fighting style, so you won't be too disoriented ;)

Killed my first Elder Dragon today. Shadowmere rules as a diversion! Else I'd have been completely roasted.

But combat is even more fun now than it was before. We are a full squad! Shadowmere (horse), Vigilance (dog), Lydia (warrior) and I (assassin). Nothing can stand in our way (so far). I just wish the dig would shut the hell up in dungeons .. I hate being detected because of a wayward bark.

Also, I think I'm almost done with the Dark Brotherhood quest line  :weep:

You know what's sad? I have about 70-80 hours clocked into this game .. and I'm still enjoying it fully! Every spare moment I have is spent playing Skyrim.
Think I should be checked out for addiction?

I own the first game (Years 1-4) on the iPad and played about 80-90% through the story. It's a cute game and replayability is granted by all the collectibles. It's quite some fun to play. The only other Lego game I own is the Complete Star Wars for the PS3.

I checkeds the wiki and decided to go with Derkeethus, married him as well :bag: That way I can take him with me into battle or dungeons as a packing mule, but if I'd rather go alone (like for the Brotherhood quests) he can stay home and make money for me. I chose him because the wiki said he cannot die; Lydia had started to die a lot recently, forcing me to several restart just for that. Mix that with the restarts due to freezes or myself dying it got a bit much. He is attacking ranged; Lydia annoyed me by always charging in from relatively far away. I think Mjoll wouldn't join me, as I chose a dialog option that she didn't like in our first conversation, she still makes remarks about that now. But, being married to Derkeethus, I could still choose another companion if I find one, leaving him at home to make money :hmmmm:

I had one of them a few days ago. They sure are tough. I think it was the one I battled outside Riften with loads of

Excuse me? I didn't know the party of two could be extended to a small army :o Is that the horse you mentioned, that the Brotherhood gives you? Where did that dog com from?

I sure would not want to be detected because of my followers. But usually when Lydia got detected, I could still get one or two stealth shots in with the related bonus. It's only trouble of there is a bunch of tough enemies as she might get killed then (like Draugr leaders, forgot their name, or Bandit Marauders, two of which were what sealed her fate).

EDIT:
I read up on this and apparently only have to "wait" for Shadowmere (it respawns two weeks after being killed, awesome!). I think I willpass on Vigilence, mainly for the problem regarding stealth).

Ooops, saw some of the spoiler but haven't that quest line yet. Will have to try to forget what I saw  (no big deal, should have seen that coming anyway...). I have done some other stuff over the weekend, other than the Brotherhood. My current open assignment is (spoiler is for others, not for you)

Well, then I need to get tested too

Those 80 hours include the previous starts with the scrapped characters? If not, you are either dying much less, reloading more upon dying, or just playing more efficient than me... I am about 80 hours in myself and almost always learn new stuff from you.

Derkeethus

Hmmm I'll have to check him out. A ranged follower sounds like a great idea! Especially since i could give him a single daedra arrow and he'll "create" new ones just for me! ;) (still haven't managed to get this "glitch" to kick in at the thieve's guild though)

Yeah I don't think I'll keep him. Especially since you have to buy him again every time you want to use him. He actually barked one too many time this morning and I almost killed it .. but instead I sent him home.

Also, Lydia died on me today. That's despite being in full Exquiste Ebony Armor.. I think it's time I started using another follower. She's becoming too much of a liability. Though she did die by my own arrow, striking with a x3 stealth damage. oops. What was she thinking, running head first into my arrows path? I reloaded to save her though. She also had quite a bit of loot on her person, and I didn't want to drag her all the way to the entrance to move the stuff back home. Though I did notice you can fast travel while overencumbered .. if you are riding a horse ;)

You know what? I think all those assassination quests are too easy, especially if you are patient. Of course, if you just run in and proceed to kill, it's gonna get hard because you'll have whole towns after you. But if you take your time and choose the perfect moment, especially with that contract you are about to do, it's too easy. I haven't been detected on a single assassination yet. Well, except the second to last "main" contract, which you get noticed for no matter what ;)

Yeah, it includes all the other characters I made. I am about 40 hours in on the current character. But I'm playing it "efficient". I'm not exploring much, mostly just fast travelling between quest locations.

Oh, yeah, not only does Lydia get killed easily eventually, but often by me as well. Normally it's fine when I hit her, just when she is in her recovery stance then she'll die. I haven't actually travelled with Derkeethus yet, so I can't vouch for his efficiency. But you can easily get him by freeing him from the cell where he is captured. The few Falmer in the way are no longer a challenge at your level. The difficult part was merely to find the lever that opens the cell

Yes, so far the assassin stuff is incredibly easy. I was Sneak 80 when I started, so approaching the targets was easy and it was just about not being seen by others  They always give you kind of a guideline too, by telling you what method will get you a bonus.

Do you read up a lot on the wikis? Also, it seems to me your experience with similar games really pays of here, because I am 80 hours in with the same character and haven't even held a Daedra arrow in my hand yet  I am level 34 now, I believe.

I try not to look up wikis too much, but in a game like Skyrim, it's almost impossible to avoid entirely. There's so many little glitches here and there, that a wiki becomes invaluable in avoiding them.

For instance, I had married Ysolda in a previous game. Now, as I was exploring, I came across a marriable NPC with a very sexy voice and she looked really nice. So just as I was about to marry her, I thought maybe I should look up the wiki and make sure there are no problems with her .. well let's just say I married Ysolda again  (don't remember who it was)

I think I'm about level 38 or so now. I toughest type of draugr, who was wearing full Ebony armor and weapons... ouch! Lydia was downed in 2 hits ... Though my sneaking was no match for him! mwahahahaha! Even his Fus-Ro-Dah was no match for mine! I was barely pushed back, and he was thrown right across the room! mwahahahaha!

Did I say I love that game? Never thought I'd like an Elder Scrolls game that much ever..

Yes, I mainly prefer to get first-hand experience myself, doing what I want, not what others tell me. I usually look at a wiki when it's about something as permanent as marriage (at least on consoles it seems less easy to divorce) or if a particular boss fight proves to be more trouble and I already died too often. I also checked which trophies/achiements could be "missable" to avoid having to replay half the game later just to get 100% with the Platinum trophy. :bag:

Not met one of those yet, I met those shouting back at me, but not yet with Ebony armor. What is the shout supposed to do, topple them to the floor and the I should run up to get a few hits on them? I rarely use the power shout...

Yesterday I met a bunch of ghostly dudes trying to kill me (in the second sanctuary) and they kept killing me with one-hits, it drove me nuts. Eventually I realized I was wearing the Jester's clothes which have 0 armor :slaphead: :-[

:o I only fought three or four of those so far! (I think I encountered a Chaurus Reaper in a dungeon once, I did notice their size. I also fought Dragon priests, but they were dead already, the one in the video seemed way meaner. I will have a lot to endure in the battles to come....

What was the point though? He cool the enemies are? Because it sure was not based on difficulty! (In that case a Draugr Battlelord should have been in there too, rather than the Falmer.)

And yes, arrows go a long way (pun not intended).
