Yes I have some issues about my stuff.   

Well that's not good.  I usually don't crease the spine in my books when read them and wouldn't dream of folding a corner down.  So if you have issues, what does that say about me?

Like me. Anything can do to mark your page, so no need to break a book.
You can also have some nice surprises this way... Not long ago I found a 20$ bill in one of my book that was there for quite some time (nothing in the others, I checked of course in each of them after this nice finding).

Other then some of the stuff already posted I would add...

TV series without a Play All function. I know... it takes little to wait for the menu and click play on the next episode. But I really like to be able to set it to play automatically when the option is there.

Overlapping discs is another thing that always bugged me. I see no reason to do this. Just give us the cases where there is 2 discs per thinpak... can't get much thinner then that. I even seen lately where they get 6 discs in a standard sized keepcase! That is much better... saves lots of room on the shelf!

Since I do all my profiles using the dvd for this...
I hate when I need to insert a dvd multiple time before it is recognized by my computer DVD reader. That happen with all my Warner snapper today. As if being ugly and non-practical wasn't enough already

You are lucky: At least your reader reads them at some point. My DVD reader in my PC refuses to read about 30% of all discs I insert.

No, it isn't true since I did it often with my old computer. I'll check tomorrow at the shopping center since I have a package to pick at the post office anyway. I just don't know if I want an internal or external one, since the life of my current one isn't completly over yet...

Ever since I began watching DVDs on my computer with a good monitor and headphones, it quickly became my preference over watching on any of my TVs.

I've watched movies in many homes with many types of systems, and for me, nothing has beaten my basic surround-sound simulation headphones and 17", 4:3 ratio, LCD monitor. I like the sound to be right in my ear without crushing my eardrums, and there's always been something about getting closer and perfectly parallel to the screen verses watching a larger screen further back to reach that same distance to screen size ratio for best viewing.

You just have a few more issues.
I don't set out to crease the spines when I read a book.  Most of mine probably aren't.  But some of my favorites are creased.  I don't fold down the corners of pages anymore.  I never did that very much.  I've seen people practically fold the page in half..made me cringe.
I will use just about any piece of paper or receipt as a bookmark.

I do like the play all function for tv shows too.  I always do that when I first watch a disc for a tv show.  If I want to watch a specific episode, then I'll go to the episode list.

I absolutely loath overlapping discs in cases.  The cases for tv shows are much better now..with this disc shaped flipper things.  Each disc has their own spot and none over lap.  It is annoying to deal with the overlapping discs.  Though I still hate the new cases for The Simpsons sets more.  At least how the discs are now held.  Someday I'll take a picture of them.  I love the artwork..but the disc storage sucks.

I heard those Simpsons sets were bad. I haven't seen any of them yet... but I only have the first 2 seasons.

Films without subtitles drive me crazy!!

my best friend is partly deaf, if we watch a film with no subtitles all the way through he says "what did he say?.... what did she say?" :/ I have found that tv series by the company Playback seem to lack subtitles :/ I even sent them an email... which they ignored...

Being a french speaker having them help sometimes some of the accents are hard to understand (Australia I'm talking of you) and I would certainly like to have everything with subtitles or close caption. But create them for a dvd release cost a lot of money (and I really mean it) and with the hard time that some companies meet actually I can understand that subtitles aren't a big priority. I prefer to not have them and get the film to have them and get a limited (mainstream) choice of film.

French Canadians, I'm talking to you!


For me, it's usually mumbling or background noise that keeps me from understanding, not accents. It does surprise me, though, how often an R1 DVD originally spoken in English with additional Spanish, and French language tracks will have only Spanish and French as subtitles.
