And now for the question... there is a good chance she will know what she is getting from her Grandmother as well...  She asked for an Ipod touch... she wants this one...



Apple iPod touch 8 GB (2nd Generation--with iPhone OS 3.1 Software Installed)

I know very little (read none) about this type of stuff. Say she has a bunch of songs downloaded in her computer... just a file of songs. How easy it... or is it even possible since Ipod is apple and computer is PC.... to hook the Ipod to the computer and put those songs to the Ipod?

As for the iPod being compatible with PC.. of course it is! Do you really think Apple would pass up the opportunity to get all those Windows users to buy iPods?

All you'll have to do is install www.itunes.com on the laptop, and she'll be all set. She should also be able to add the music she already has very easily to the iPod.

When I went to school we were excited to use pocket calculators. Look what they have now

iPods sadly come with a price. In general, the more the better, obviously, but if for music and some Wifi internet surfing the 8GB will do fine. iOS3.x lacks some features I am quite used to know, but it ran more stable than iOS 4.
