The Daily Show/The Colbert Report
« on: July 31, 2010, 01:12:14 AM »
How is it that these two shows can be consistently funny 4 nights a week, and Saturday Night Live is lucky to be funny for 10 minutes on 4 shows in a month?

Discuss... :hmmmm:

OMG Kathy, they are both hilarious, you need to check them out. They're on Comedy Central from Tuesday thru Friday starting at 7PM.

You can watch full episodes of the Daily Show here:

It is a great show. Too bad I never come around actually watching it. But of what I have seen, it's fun.
I have the "Indecision 2004" special on DVD though. I also have a DVD release of "The Colbert Report".

Thanks for the link Tom - I'll bookmark the page and check them out.

Antares - I don't have cable TV or the like so I only get basic, local channels.

I can't help it - I love old things. Right now I am sitting in front of an old Mathes Cooler from the 1930s. It's not like any fan you buy today. It's has steel blades inside a mahogany case. It is all original and works as good as the day it was made. It keeps me as cool as one of today's air conditioner but uses much less electricity, isn't as noisy and looks like a piece of furniture. The only downfall, if you can call it that, is I need to oil the inner workings every year.

I've never heard of a fan like that.  If you're happy with it, that's all that matters.
Was just teasing a bit before.

I know - I saw the  ;).

I have no idea why I brought up the fan except that it is old and sitting in front of me keeping me cool and happy!

Ok..just thought I would make sure.

I have an online friend in Australia...I frequently tease her about her prehistoric brick cell phone. :)  Well I did..she finally got a different phone.

The fan does sound interesting.  I never heard of any of them being in wood like that before.
