If you were a music fan you would have known for what she is really known for ;)

I've heard of Whitesnake only by proxy: It's Lois Lane's favourite band in Smallville.

I was just over at the IMDB and noticed a couple notable birthdays today...

Charlize Theron--35

David Duchovny--50

I've never really been a fan of The X-Files but I've always liked Charlize Theron and have a number of her movies including recent purchases of Aeon Flux and Hancock.  I also liked her appearances earlier this decade on The Tonight Show...where she always seemed to be having TOO good a time!  I later heard she was usually drunk during those appearances.

Oooh, did my review of the pilot to The Texan stick in Pete's mind when he posted this?  Obviously I have the DVD set of The Texan.  I also have The Long Riders which may be my only Keith Carradine DVD.  And everyone has something with Dustin Hoffman, I guess...I have Hook, at least.

Surprisingly, I have few of these on DVD.  I do have Robert Shaw in Jaws, of course.  And I have Sam Elliott in some of his westerns...The Shadow Riders, The Sacketts and the first version of The Quick and the Dead (that one being made for HBO...all three of these were done for TV actually but they're all very good).  I can't remember if I have Melanie Griffith in anything...the others I definitely don't think I have in anything.  :-\

It's also Pete Doctors birthday today. Pete is one of my favourite people in Hollywood today. After all, this is the man who brought us both Up and Monster's Inc.
