That is a shame. Should've spoilered the question with an intro, "Have you seen There Will Be Blood? No? Move along." :-\

Achim, don't worry too much. There Will Be Blood is a magnificent, serious film, possibly the best "proper" American film for years. There's more than a hint of Citizen Kane about it. The ending is inevitable and it's how you get there that really counts.

I thought There Will Be Blood was a bag of wank. Just sayin'.

I was going to say something else, but then I realised that I was thinking of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

Hey, look I like Lock Stock, but anyone who tries to undermine P T Anderson via Guy Ritchie really shouldn't be taken seriously!  :tease:

Well, I figured as much. I guess not much below the fact that you can't really spoil Titanic either. just, I guess, now when I will watch it I won't be able to look at Dano and not think "you're gonna get it".

Antares, can you at least have the answer to that question in a spoiler tag please? That way at least some surprise will remain.

Round 6

The Taking of Pelham 123 has been made into a feature film twice, once in 1974 and again in 2009. In both versions, the hijackers commandeer a NYC subway train below ground with hostages and demand the city pay a ransom for their safe release. Naturally the amount requested had exponentially increased from the 1974 version to the 2009 version. How much did they ask for in each film?

If you have only seen one of the films, I've placed a small hint to help you figure out the other amount, in the question above.

Remember, you must PM your answer to me no later than 6PM tomorrow.

If you fail to submit an answer, it's the same as getting it wrong, and you lose a smiley.

So, if worse comes to worse, take a guess.

Here goes another smiley, I've never even heard of that movie.  I can't wait for this game to be over and end my shame and embarassment.
