I like the Maudite and Fin du Monde too but these two can slam you and end your evening pretty early  :drunk:.

That blanche de Chambly, was it the beer that Jimmy used in his slow cooked ham recipe?

If you're referring to this then it wasn't Jimmy, it was me and yes, that's the beer I use for the ham ;)

Oops...sorry Eric, I still haven't made this because the liquor store that I go to carries a good selection of the Unibroue, but not that one. If I want it, I have to buy a case.

Eric, I sent that recipe to my mom and she loved it! Everyone always asks her for your recipe, I think most of Florida has eaten your ham by now. A belated "thank you".

How do you think it would be with a fermented cider in its place?

For me it is pretty much any type of junk food.... especially sweets. I am terrible when it comes to sweets. My favorite has to be the Reese's Peanutbutter Cup... loved them every since the old "You got Chocolate on my Peanutbutter!... You got Peanutbutter on my Chocolate!" Commercials...

When I was a kid, and my little league team won a game, we were treated to one item at the snack bar. Mine was always a frozen Reese's Cup. Can't be beat!

Have you ever tried Ben & Jerry's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream?

Let's see who has the bigger sweet tooth.

My wife cringes at this sundae I get every summer at the local ice cream stand...

1 scoop Heath Bar Crunch
1 scoop Peanut Butter Cup
1 scoop Caramel Cashew Crunch
double Butterscotch topping (normally you get your choice of two)
crushed Butterfingers
Reeses pieces
whipped cream
nuts
cherry

My first "official" job was at Friendly's Ice Cream shop. One of my favorites back then was Toasted Almond Fudge.

Now, I occasionally buy one of their specialty rolls, I love their Whatamelon Roll. Its watermelon sherbet with chocolate chips surrounded by lemon sherbet. When you cut it, it looks exactly like a piece of watermelon. It's the perfect summer treat.

That sounds very good to me... though I may go for the hot fudge topping over the butterscotch... but that is due to my love of chocolate... butterscotch is good too though. :P
