Non-DVD Gulity Pleasures
« on: June 16, 2010, 02:39:56 AM »
Just a place to express the virtues of the creature comforts we all like to indulge in.

For me, it's enjoying a delicious glass of either Port or Madeira wine, as I'm doing right now.

As I'm getting older, I'm finding that I'm gravitating more towards the sweet wines in general.

Chocolate....someone at work introduced me Lindt Lindor truffles a few months ago.  They are sooooo good.  I usually only eat 2 pieces a time, so they last me a while.

What happens if you eat it?

Depending on the concentration of actual chocolate in it, minus the sugar and milk and whatever they add to it, it restricts my breathing.

One Christmas about 15 years ago, I ate about 8 Hershey's kisses, and couldn't work for two days. Another time, my sister made a triple silk chocolate torte and I only ate about a 1/2 inch wide piece, but because she used Swiss dark chocolate, I couldn't breathe for a week.

It doesn't bring me close to death, but it does make me suffer.

Oh no.  I would hate to be allergic to something so good.

Eating a bowl of bowl of frozen big strawberry with a lot of cream on it :drooling:

Everyone I know think I'm crazy when they see me eating this, but it's so good

Except that it's probably not so good for the health... but who care when it's so tastefull :drooling:

It's actually a good thing or I'd way over 300 pounds by now probably. I have a bad sweet tooth.

I usually don't want too much chocolate.  I am usually happy with just a few pieces.  At times, I go a little over board though.

I am trying to eat better..that is just easier said than done most of the time.

It is tough, because I do like the taste. What makes it more difficult is that my wife is a choco-holic. She has bits of chocolate hidden around the house in little containers for when she has a craving.

I used to love regular Pepsi, my all-time favorite soft drink.  But then I became a diabetic and can't drink it anymore...and I have never liked any diet cola.  I can drink diet versions of root beer and Mountain Dew and orange drinks...but it's not the same.  These days my favorite drink has become ice tea.  I never grew to like coffee.  I doubt I have consumed the equivilent of two full cups in my life.
