I tried to watch one of the first episodes since I had heard how wonderful it was.  I changed the channel after like 10 minutes and never tried again.

I'm glad to see that 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation has been renewed. Both of those shows make me laugh heaps. I hear that P&R is realy just a sort of take of The Office type comedy but since I haven't seen The Office I can really view Parks as a stand alone show, and I loved it.

The last time I saw a Heroes episode I couldn't grasp just how dreadful it was. The first season wasn't quite as good as I'd expected and it lost me quickly in the second. The last time I saw it they were still just circling each other with the same crap! Crosses and double-crosses, family, not family, oh they are family. Just bollocks really.

I think the Writers Strike killed Heroes completely...Its sad, you know it could have been a great show.

...I felt it would have been cool to have one season and a film to tie up loose ends.

Scrubs was one of my favourite series ever... up until Season 6... Seaspn 6 was terrible... what the hell happened to Zach Braff seriously!

I am glad to see House, The Big Bang Theory, 30 Rock and The Office getting renewals
I know I love Scrubs, probably seen each series like 6 times, but I could happily have had it ended after the 6th or 7th season. Dragging it on so long was an insult to the fans.

As for Heroes, I haven't seen it but I thought it was supposed to be like the next big thing! I was usprised when it started getting such negative feedback.

OK... this sucks... I was really enjoying Mercy!  :weep:
Happened to see ytrtailers fpr both of those just yesterday.

Trauma seemed extremely cheesy (not necessarily bad), loads of exaggerated drama but with good effects.

Mercy was rather strange though. Was this Scrubs painted all black? The trailer started all drama (girl starting her new job at the hospital), got more dramatic (she is asked to turn someone's life support machine), then gets all weird (the person appears alive!) and then kicks into comedy (colleague switches machine off and announces "Let's go for lunch"). What was this show about/like, really?

No I wouldn't compare it to scrubs. Believe it or not it was mostly pure medical drama. But at the same time a little hard to explain. The one nurse... the main one just got back from the war. In the scene you were talking about with the life support being turned off the new young nurse (forget her name... played Dawn on Buffy) was having a problem about ending a life  as she became a nurse to help save lives. Then the nurse that has been one for a long time. Just getting back from a war just flipped the switch and was ready for lunch as she was so used to seeing death it didn't phase her.

I would say what little comedy was seen in the first/early episode(s) disappeared pretty quickly and became pure drama.

I'm confused by your list slightly. Are you saying Family Guy and American Dad have been binned? I expected Cleveland not to last as I haven't seen it, but it's not had a lot of love.

In hindsight I possibly should've left the results (from the link) attached to each show, but no FG, AD and CS are all returning.

Why it's just random unrelated stuff after other random unrelated stuff with an annoying familly as a central point. Even King of the Hill that I find boring is better than this...

Agreed. With that bit anyway. It's so nuts, it's brilliant. Plus, it's backed up with talent, because the writings good, the voicing superb and the musical numbers are better than any actual musical (just search for "Bag of Weed"). And it's also bloody funny! I mean, seriously damn funny.  :D It had me hooked from the moment Stewie was revealed to be a master criminal, intent on killing his mum! "...ever since I escaped from your accursed womb!", etc).

They're also responsible for Blue Harvest, which is simply marvellous.

King of the Hill was dreadful. Really got on my nerves.

I've always been a Futurama, Simpsons (only until season 11) and South Park person. For some reason I just never took to Family Guy. I heard a lot of people going on about Blue Harvest so I borrowed it off a friend. I have seen the Star Wars movies it is parodying obviously but when I watched Blue Harvest I didn't even laugh once the entire time, it just seemed weak to me. Some episodes of the show though I have found funny, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it often.

I'll watch Family Guy, but it is far from my favorite..usually it is a matter of nothing else is on.  I do think the show is over rated..and less of the new stuff is funny to me.

Futurama was so much better and I am a bit...irritated that Family Guy was brought back and Futurama wasn't.  For that matter, FOX is still on my shit list for canceling Futurama and Firefly.
