Starship Troopers Trilogy (£8.93 at TheHut.com)
I have never seen any of these. I thought that I cannot go that wrong with this price for a Blu-ray set.

I am not sure. I also have some other Blu-rays in my unwatched pile.

I was really tempted by it because the first film at least is superb. Very misunderstood. But I know I won't like the sequels, so it's still a waste of money. I'll just keep an eye out for number 1 on its own, especially as I already have the DVD. Pretty good image too.

What did you think of the Wizard of Oz set you bought? I got mine a week or so ago. I was pleasantly surprised with the contents. I'm looking forward to the Gone with the Wind set coming out soon, especially since I've never seen the movie!
Haven't removed the shrink wrap yet :bag:

I thought about getting Gone with the Wind when it comes out but then scrapped that idea. It's just too long of a movie with a relatively high expectancy not to love it.

Funny stuff

   Smart People (2008)
R2-UK Icon (2008)

This got mostly blah reviews, but it has Ellen Page starring as a Young Republican.
   Waitress (2007)
R2-DE Fox (2008)

As I already mentioned in my Sudden Manhattan review, this was the last movie Adrienne Shelly made.

Artsy stuff (in a good way, of course)

   La Antena (Argentina 2007)
R2-DE Capelight (2007)

A modern B&W *and* silent movie. I've seen only a few stills, but they made me curious.
The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes (UK 2005)
R2-UK Artificial Eye (2006)

The Quay Brothers are quite famous, but so far I've only seen the short puppet sequence they did for Julie Taymor's Frida.
   Stalker (USSR 1979)
R2-UK Artificial Eye (2002)

Probably my favorite Tarkovsky film, although it's been almost 20 years since I've seen any of them.

That's quite a DVD inheritance. Xena is one I would especially love to have in my collection one day.

Well... my mother always said she wanted me to have all her electronics (TV, DVD Player) and DVD collection because I was always the one to buy that stuff for her. I went ahead and let Brittany have the TV and DVD Player since she needed one.

I am glad I got her all the seasons of Xena... but was always sorry I wasn't able to get her all the seasons of Hercules before they went OOP.

Ah that's a shame, maybe you'll be able to find and old copy of the Hercules series one day to add to your collection. That's nice of you to give the tv to Brittany. I always used to want my own tv in my room but since I got my computer which plays DVD's in here I haven't seen the need.

There are ones I've gotten in the last week..including the few I picked up with the extra discount on my birthday at the one store in the mall here.

I found the Dukes of Hazzard sets at Sam's Club for only $8.88 today...so I couldn't resist that.  Too bad they didn't have the last season too.

I have opened it now and am generally quite impressed by the nice book(let)s inside. Also the watch looks quite pretty with its green wristband. I am wondering a little bit if I am really fan enough to shell out the extra dough for the added features, but I do like them.

My only gripes are: a) why do they always have those separate sheets as back covers which can't be put into the box without cutting b) why, oh why, are the mini posters just a few millimeters to wide to actually fit into the box as well ::)
