I'm looking forward to this myself, although I don't care about the 3D stuff.

I've read the book. It's by Neil Gaiman, so it's fundamentally dark, but a kids story all the same so it only takes half-an-hour. Wonderful stuff...

I haven't read anything by him. I immensly enjoyed the Stardust movie, though.

Is The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra the one I've reviewed some time ago? If it's the case watch it fast it's a really fun one
Of course Black Sunday is great also, but you can't watch it in the next ten weeks :P

Yup... that is the one... And thanks for posting that... going by the images on the box I wasn't sure if I would be able to watch it or not till October. I wasn't sure if it could be considered horror or not. What with the big image of the skeleton and creepy looking person laying on the rocks (small pic) on the back of the box and all. then the overview says Sci-Fi/Horror.

But This is not one to consider horror? That is cool :)

And yeah... I know I unfortunately have to wait for October to watch Black Sunday.  :(

Unless you consider movie like Plan 9 From Outer Space or Robot Monster as horror movie this isn't one at all. It's a recreation of the old science fiction films of the fifties/sixties.

Nope... don't consider either of those horror. And I have both.  :P The main thing that was stopping me was the overview...

Quote
Remember the good old days when anyone with a camera, a few thousand bucks, and more ambition than talent could schlep up to Bronson Canyon and quickly make a cheap sci-fi/horror movie? Well, they're back! THE LOST SKELETON OF CADAVRA is an affectionate, meticulous re-creation of those notoriously cheesy clunkers, as a gaggle of beloved stereotypes pursue "that rarest of all radioactive elements - atmosphereum." Writer/Director Larry Blamire heads a superb cast - including Fay Masterson (Eyes Wide Shut), Andrew Parks (Donnie Brasco), Brian Howe (Catch Me If You Can) and Jennifer Blaire (The Majestic) - that faced a daunting task: having to be brilliant and terrible at the same time! It's one of the most original, clever, and hilarious comedies to come along in eons of your Earth years!

I know you can't go by the overview... but I just wasn't going to take a blind chance to watch it and mess myself up after being 25 days horror free!  :P

That is why I was glad to see you post that recommendation to watch it soon!

Well, if you're stuck for something to watch, there's always El Dorado...I know you already watched Shanghai Noon so maybe that got you in the mood for another western?

I read somewhere that there are plans for another Masters of the Universe movie.  I can't remember exactly where I read it though.

But seriously. There are rumors about a movie called Grayskull. But I only believe it, when it's officially announced. A few years ago a He-Man movie directed by John Woo was supposed to come out, but nothing came of it (probably because the toyline was cancelled).

The two books(non comic) of his that I've read were really good.

I think I preferred Neverwhere(which was made into a miniseries) to American Gods though.
