   The Long Goodbye (1973)
R1-US MGM (2002)

The Dude didn't do it for me. Let's see, if I like Altman's take on Chandler better.
Looking forward to hearing your comments on this. I just noticed it in Empires Top 500 and hadn't really paid attention before, but some of their comments really made me want to see it.

  Great stuff. Melancholic and hilarious at the same time. I will follow up with some more comments on the weekend - still slaving  :weep:

Do you wait that I receive my part of the deal for watching it? Do you plan to watch the 2 movies back to back?

I will hold off for a little while anyway... if you want I can wait till you get The Sorority. As for watching both back to back... what do you think on that? Could be an awful lot of bad for back to back viewings. :p) But I am game if you are.

I will watch them back to back (starting with the new one). Not necessary my idea of a fun time (at least with Lizzy Borden), but after 4 hours it will be something that will belong to the past. Imagine if you like TCOLB and I like The Sorority  :hmmmm:

Just back from Walmart. I was there to buy some packs of sunflower seeds, this is as addictive than the cigarette and when I think that I've start eating that many years ago when I was trying to quit smoking (I continue to smoke and as a bonus I need those seeds too ). Since it is impossible to not buy at least one movie, I've bought this one that I've miss even if I've like the first one.

I don't understand you, Pete! When I buy a film, watch it and I don't like it, I get rid... Ebay, unsuspecting friends, anything to be shot of it. Watching it again only wastes time that could be spent on another, while not watching it wastes shelf space. Move on! Have a ceremonial fire!
