It looked good... I popped it in the other day... but there was to much going on in the house that day so couldn't watch it as I should. Will have to give it another go when I can actually sit down and enjoy it.

Got a package from our friend Kathy today
Sorry it took me so long to post it, but eight profiles to create from nothing is long
I think I'll count it as an early birthday gift, even if it'll be only in 7 weeks or so
I think she wants to torture me with that Adam Sandler's films... the menu even start with a fart "joke" for crying out loud
Thanks Kathy

"Stories of Lost Souls" is quite an interesting collection of shorts.
If my memory serves me well for an "Episode-Movie" the episodes are not connected enough (for not saying "not at all").

Samsara
The Qatsi Trilogy
Red
The Karate Kid
Headhunters
The French Connection
Princess
(500) Days of Summer
Battle Royale: The Complete Collection
Looper
Skyfall
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days
I know, I already had the UK set for Battle Royale, but the screenshots of the US set at blubeaver.com looked so much better on the latter, I just had to get that one...

You can always say you got it for Battle Royale 2... even if the film isn't that good from what I've read.

Trailer/Intro
Schindler's List
, a Stephen Spielberg film, is a cinematic masterpiece that has become one of the most honored films of all time.
Winner* of seven Academy Awards®, including Best Picture and Best Director, it also won every major Best Picture award and an exceptional number of additional honors. The Decameron
|
Year:
1971 | 111 Min.|
IMDb
Legendary Italian director Pier Paolo Pasolini delivers nine exuberant tales in this "earthy, genuinely ribald and spicy" (
Variety
) film. Based on Boccaccio's timeless classic - and the first in Pasolini's
Trilogy of Life
Series -
The Decameron
is an uproariously "irreverent romp (
Variety
) that's "positively jubilant in its naughtiness" (
Films and Filming
)!
Lusty nuns who perform sexual "miracles," a cheating wife with a head for business, a dying con artist attempting a heavenly smile, young lovers caught with their pants down, a servant who loses his head for love and a gullible farmer who tries to turn his wife into a mare. These are just some of the stories Pasolini vividly brings to life!
A Star is Born
|
Year:
1954 | 175 Min.|
IMDb
A Star is Born
marked Judy Garland's return to movies after a four-year absence, director George Cukor's first musical and first color film, and a showcase for great Harold Arlen/Ira Gershwin songs in state-of-the-art stereo. Garland is singer Esther Bladgett, an undeniable talent on the rise. She catches the eye of Norman Maine (James Mason), an alcoholic actor in career decline. Their intense love transforms them both. Only one will survive Hollywood's slings and arrows.
Shortened after its premiere, the movie underwent one rebirth in 1983 when film historian Ronald Haver found almost all the cut sequences and supervised a reconstruction to near its original length. Its new rebirth is this digital transfer from a refurbished element, with revitalized digital audio and incorporating picture and musical material recently uncovered.
Star
always had a shine to it. Now watch it sparkle as never before.
