Hey! Finally have something to post here!

This came in:
The Walking Dead: Season 1 [DVD]
I just started watching this last night! It's great! I moves along very slowly, but that is because it's taking its time with the characters... Only seen the first episodes (67min instead of 45) so far and loved it, a lot.

Did you get all the blood and guts in Germany or you think it was cut down for the German audience?

I mean, there is some series gore in this (not much, but that what's there is glorious!) which I can not picture seeing on a German TV screen.

I'm afraid there have been some cuts according to this site: http://www.ofdb.de/view.php?page=fassung&fid=198106&vid=308367

I was not aware of this but I didn't miss anything. I've seen it on the "FOX Serie" channel.

Detailed information about the cuts can be found here (German). It seems though, as if they didn't necessarily cut for gore alone :stars:, but also loads of other stuff, rather randomly. Only clear thing seems to by the drastic shortening of the scene with the horse at the end (19s!).

But yes, the gore is vital for the show, but since there is so little cuting some of it out or shorter is not really that dramatric. It's all about the people anyway.

In general I hate cuts and try to avoid purchasing cut movies or series on dvd or blu-ray. But due to the fact that I could not wait for the German dvd release, I decided to watch it on tv.  Cut movies and series are very often broadcasted on free tv, but I didn't expect this on pay tv  :(

Brittany wants to watch Scott Pilgram vs. the World with me. So maybe we will watch that one together this weekend if we get the chance.

td] Repo! The Genetic Opera

Would live to hear your thought on this. The guys from (Cool) Shite are strong fans, but I would like to hear one more opinion before making this blind buy.

Here you go: http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/topic,3213.msg86111.html#msg86111
Get Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical instead, if you haven't already. I briefly commented on that one as well.
