They presented the open matte film in 4:3 and by choosing an option in the menu they would apply the matte and you could see the theatrical 1.85:1 version.

Bambi is interesting...I've seen it in two size cases. The one you picture looks like the DVD-sized case I first picked up...then a few moments later, I saw it in the normal Blu-ray sized case and I got that one instead. Thus, for now, all my Blu-rays have the same size cases...
