The Secret of Kells (IRL/FR 2009)
R2-IRL Cartoon Saloon (2009)

As mentioned in the 2010 Oscars thread, I was intrigued immediately when stumbling upon this.
In the City of Sylvia (ES/FR 2007)
R2-UK Axiom Films (Jun 22, 2009)

Noel Megahey, my favorite reviewer at DVDTimes, listed this among his Top 5 DVDs of 2009.

Is The Secret of Kells a pre-order, Matthias? I didn't know it was available.

No, it seems to be an Irish DVD by Cartoon Saloon that was released last year. There should also be a Blu-ray. But it's not in DVD Profiler and actual infos are a bit fuzzy.

I have been waiting for Kells to come out here for a while. It did the film festival loop of Australia but it is now being released on DVD on the 10th of March. I will probably try grab a copy as soon as it comes out.

   Alice in Wonderland (UK 1966)
R1-US BBC Worldwide (Mar 2, 2010)

As I mentioned in response to Critter's review of the Tim Burton movie: This is the 1966 BBC version by Jonathan Miller of which I never even heard before. But I stumbled upon this DVDTalk review and the description is very intriguing and the screencaps look stunning. The set also includes the 1903 silent version and the Dennis Potter version.

Chuck: Season One (Amazon.de)
I watched the first two episodes when it first aired but the series didn't really win me over (even though on paper it sounds like I would enjoy it). But as Karsten seems to enjoy this series and the first season was on sale, I am willing to give it another chance.
The Witches (Amazon.de)
It's been years since I saw it. I always watched it when it was on TV (when I still watched regular TV). I had it on my wishlist for awhile now and now it was on sale.
Viruddh... Family Comes First (Amazon.de)
A Bollywood movie from my wishlist. I needed a few euros more for my order to get free shipping and this one was on sale. Perfect timing.

Going to Hong Kong visiting brick and mortar stores with a credit card on hand proved expensive, again:

Pi
Boiling Point
Dead or Alive
Akira

Heat

Something Something, Something, Darkside
Labyrinth

Shaun of the Dead

The 36th Chamber of Shaolin

Léon: The Professional

Last Action Hero

South Park: The Complete Thirteenth Season
Revanche
Where the Wild Things Are
Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

Gamer

The Boondock Saints

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day

Triangle

The Princess and the Frog

I always find that being in a store and going through the selection manually is such a better experience than ordering online. I almost gladly paid a few extra bucks for that (after all, happens only once a year or so).

The last time I did that was more than a year ago and among other things I did end up with the FSK-18 version of Rambo, which of course wasn't uncut. So, no thanks.
