[tom]4010232057051.5f.jpg[/tom] Titanic (€9.97/$13.45/£8.54/Amazon.de)
Triple-Dip. A had the first DVD release (since given to my mother), which had the movie on one disc with the given quality loss. I have the second DVD release, which spread the movie across two discs and had two additional discs for bonus features. And now I have got the Blu-ray, which has the movie again on one disc, plus all the bonus features plus additional ones on a second disc.
[tom]4010232056504.5f.jpg[/tom] Futurama: Season 6 (€12.97/$17.50/£11.10/Amazon.de)
I had this pre-ordered for ages on amazon.co.uk, but the release date constantly changes. Then I stumbled across it on amazon.de with an even cheaper price than the one I had pre-ordered it for.
[tom]4010232049964.5f.jpg[/tom] Dark Angel: The Complete Series (€13.97/$18.85/£11.96/Amazon.de)

Great show. I haven't viewed it since it was originally released on DVD though so I could do with a rewatch one of these days. Another Fox show cancelled too soon.

Hmmm ... it's been a while

The Lake House
Dr. Kate Forster has finally found romance. Trouble is, it's a long-distance relationship. She's in downtown Chicago. He's in a remote lakeside suburb. And there's more: She's in 2006. He's in 2004.

Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock team for the first time since Speed for this heart-lifting story of a love that transcends time. It begins when Kate moves out of her visually stunning lake house and leaves a note for the next tenant, architect Alex Wyler. They begin a correspondence and soon come to realize they are meant for each other...and that, somehow, they live two years apart. Can they ever meet? What would happen if they tried? Magical and emotionally rich, The Lake House is a love story for 2004, for 2006, for all times.
16 Blocks
From Lethal Weapon director Richard Donner comes "a hard-to-beat thriller" (Gene Shalit, Today/NBC-TV). Bruce Willis hits the mark as Jack Mosley, a broken-down New York City police detective assigned to escort a petty criminal (Mos Def) from the precinct to the courthouse. The seemingly simple 16-block journey becomes a test of character for them when Jack's ex-partners attempt to stop them. It's the gripping story of how two men change each other during a tense 118-minute struggle between life and death.
Beneath the Darkness
In a quiet little town, funeral home director Mr. Ely (DENNIS QUAID, Legion) is a respected member of the community... but he has a terrifying secret lying beneath the ground. High school student Travis (TONY OLLER, TV's As the Bell Rings) and three friends think they've seen a ghost in the top window of Cly's house, but when they decide to break in the following night, their lives take a murderous turn that will plunge them in a chilling battle for survival. Also featuring AIMEE TEEGARDEN (Scream 4) and BRETT CULLEN (Red Dawn), this electrifying, edge of your seat thriller will make you think twice before turning off the lights.
The Savages
"In her consummately executed, irreverent drama The Savages, Tamara Jenkins achieves a rare storytelling feat: making us simultaneously laugh and cry. In what may evolve into a new genre, the coming-of-middle-age story, she has captured all the pain and misgivings that befall a pair of adult siblings, suddenly plucked from their very absorbed lives and forced to care for a parent who never much bothered to care for them..."
 - Geoffrey Gilmore, Sundance Film Festival
Jumper
In this exhilarating sci-fi action-thriller, David Rice (Hayden Christensen) is a Jumper—a genetic anomaly with the power to instantly teleport anywhere in the world. But David soon finds himself in an ongoing, global war that threatens the very survival of his rare and extraordinary kind.

But old friends aren't necessarily still best friends, and Greenberg soon finds himself forging a connection with his brother's personal assistant, Florence (Greta Gerwig). Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs) will keep you on the edge of your seat all the way to a heart-stopping ending with a truly wicked twist.

Christina Ricci (Monster) stars in this spine-tingling supernatural thriller about an American backpacker in rural England whose life takes a turn for the worse after a car accident. During recovery, she is befriended by a researcher (Stephen Dillane) studying a buried 1st Century church embedded with images of Christ's crucifixion. She begins to have horrific visions of the townspeople and their deaths. Is the town cursed or are her visions spirits from the unearthed church grasping for life? What is uncovered will shock and terrify you!
Awake
'SEXY AND SUSPENSEFUL,' 'Awake' turns the disturbingly real phenomenon of "anesthetic awareness" – in which surgery patients, though completely paralyzed, are conscious of everything they are experiencing, including the pain – into a "completelt absorbing" thriller (Roger Ebert). When failed anesthesia leaves a rich young tycoon (Hayden Christensen, 'Star Wars') alert but immobilized during open-heart surgery, he overhears a devious plot to have him killed. Co-starring Jessica Alba ('Sin City') and Academy Award® nominee* Terrence Howard ('Crash'), 'Awake' does "for operations what 'Jaws' did for the beach" (Frank Scheck, 'Hollywood Reporter').
Flakes
Neal (Aaron Stanford) will be a rockstar, Miss Pussy Katz (Zooey Deschanel) will be an art legend, and they will live forever in an Airstream trailer pulled by an El Dorado convertible. This isn't a dream - it's a plan. And Neal might have the goods for it. But he'll never know, because he spends way too much time working at Flakes, a bohemian cereal shop in New Orleans. It*s very cool. And the most dead-end job in history. When a junior capitalist opens a rip-off version of Flakes right across the street, it means war for Neal. He gets sucked further and further in until Miss Pussy Katz realizes that to save their dreams, she must liberate Neal from his obsession. But even in victory, she sees that Neal will never live up to his promise. And when she finally gives up, it's Neal's turn to save the dream.
Sleep Dealer
Mexico. The near future.

Memo Cruz (Luis Fernando Peña) has always dreamed of leaving his tiny village and heading north to the big cities on the border. But when a bizarre tragedy strikes, and he's forced to go on the run, Memo discovers a brave new world far beyond his wildest dreams. The near future of Sleep Dealer is a world filled with killer drones, hi-tech factories, memory-sellers, and a wild war against "aqua-terrorists" broadcast on reality TV — a future so bizarre it could easily be reality tomorrow!

Winner of two prestigious awards at the Sundance Film Festival, and nominated for both the Gotham and the Independent Spirit Awards, this groundbreaking science fiction film has been praised by critics and audiences alike.
Hurricane Season
In this drama based on a true story, a high school basketball team learns about victory and defeat in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Oscar winner Forest Whitaker leads a cast that also includes Isaiah Washington, Taraji P. Henson, Courtney B. Vance, Lil Wayne, and Shad Moss (aka Bow Wow). HURRICANE SEASON is directed by Tim Story (BARBERSHOP).
Jonah Hex
Out of the pages of the legendary comic and graphic novels steps Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin), a scarred drifter and bounty hunter of last resort. Jonah's past catches up with him when the U.S. military offers to wipe out the warrants on his head if he hunts and stops dangerous terrorist Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich).
The Blind Side
Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) knows little about family. Less about football. What the homeless teen knows are the streets and projects of Memphis. Well-to-do Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) knows little about his world. Yet when she and Michael meet, he's found a home. And the Tuohys have found something just as life-changing: a beloved new son and brother. This real-life story of family and of Michael's growth into a blue-chip football star will have you cheering with its mix of gridiron action and heartwarming emotion. Share the remarkable journey of the college All-American and first-round NFL draft pick who was a winner before he ever stepped onto the playing field.
Amadeus
Amadeus triumphs as gripping human drama, sumptuous period epic, glorious celebration of the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — and as the winner of eight 1984 Academy Awards®, including Best Picture (produced by Saul Zaentz), Actor (F. Murray Abraham), Director (Milos Forman) and Adapted Screenplay (Peter Shaffer).

It's 1781 and Antonio Salieri (Abraham) is the competent court composer to Emperor Joseph II. When Mozart (Oscar® nominee Tom Hulce) arrives at court, Salieri is horrified to discover that the godlike musical gifts he desires for himself have been bestowed on a bawdy, impish jokester. Mad with envy, he plots to destroy Mozart by any means. Perhaps, even murder.
The Big White
On the brink of bankruptcy, Alaska travel agent Paul Barnell (Robin Williams) cooks up a scheme to pass off a dead body as a long-lost brother, Raymond (Woody Harrelson), to collect on his million-dollar life insurance policy.  But unfortunately, the overly ambitios insurance investigator (Giovanni Ribisi) isn't buying the scam, the hit men responsible for the body want it back-so they kidnap Paul's crazy but lovable Tourette's afflicted wife (Holly Hunter)-and, to top it off, Raymond shows up demanding a piece of the action.  So much for easy money...
West Side Story
Winner of 10 Academy Awards® including Best Picture 1961

A triumph on every level, this magnificent achievement set a standard for modern movie musicals that remains unsurpassed to this day. Featuring an unforgettable score ("Maria", "America", "Somewhere", "Tonight") and groundbreaking choreography, the film sets the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet against the backdrop of gang warfare in 1950s New York. Starring Natalie Wood, Richard Beymer, Russ Tamblyn, Rita Moreno, and George Chakiris.

'West Side Story' is "a stunning piece of visual entertainment" ('Boxoffice') and "the best film musical ever made" ('The New Republic')!
30 Days of Night: Dark Days
Almost a year has passed since Barrow, Alaska's population was decimated by vampires. Stella, mourning her husband's murder, has been travelling the world trying to convince others that vampires exist. When a group of lost souls offers her a chance to exact revenge upon the vampire queen, Stella joins their mission to stop evil from striking again.
Gulliver's Travels
Jack Black (Kung Fu Panda, School of Rock) is larger than life in this epic comedy-adventure based on the classic tale. When a shipwreck lands a lowly mailroom clerk named Gulliver (Black) on the fantastical island of Lilliput, he transforms into a giant — in size and ego! Gulliver's tall tales and heroic deeds win the hearts of the tiny Lilliputians, but when he loses it all and puts his newfound friends in peril, Gulliver must find a way to undo the damage. Through it all, Gulliver may just learn that it's how big you are on the inside that counts.
Drive Angry
In the high-octane, action-adventure DRIVE ANGRY, Nicolas Cage stars as an undead felon who breaks out of hell to avenge his murdered daughter and rescue her kidnapped baby from a band of cult-worshipping savages. Joined by tough-as-nails Piper (Amber Heard), the two set off on a rampage of redemption, all while being pursued by an enigmatic killer (William Fichtner) who has been sent by the Devil to retrieve Milton and deliver him back to hell.
Thank you
David
