The NeverEnding Story/The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter
When 10-year-old Bastian opens the mysterious, ornately bound book entitled The NeverEnding Story, he never imagines he will be transported into its amazing world of Fantasia...and become the hero of its even more amazing tale. Now you can go there too in this magical film full of astonishing creatures and directed by Wolfgang Petersen (The Perfect Storm). Bastian, the luckdragon and the genial Rock Biter return for more adventure in the spellbinding The Neverending Story II The Next Chapter from director George Miller (The Man from Snowy River). This time, new forces threaten the world of imagination. But they aren't the only foes Bastian faces.  He must also overcome problems at home!
People Will Talk
"People Will Talk" is a "brilliant comedy" (ASHVILLE MOUNTAIN XPRESS) that also possesses a rare and engaging poignancy.

Screen legend Cary Grant stars as Dr. Noah Praetorius, a lovable professor and head of a medical clinic who becomes the subject of a McCarthy-style investigation initiated by a jealous colleague (Hume Cronyn). Along the way, Praetorius befriends and ultimately marries a young woman who attempts suicide when she discovers she is pregnant.

But, as the witch-hunt into the good doctor's personal life progresses, so do the laughs in this well-crafted, all-star treasure that should be part of every film lover's collection of classics.
The Sentinel
Michael Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland, Eva Longoria and Kim Basinger head up "the perfect cast" (CBS-TV, Sacramento) in this gripping suspense thriller that delivers "nonstop action around every turn!" (NBC-TV, Houston).

There's never been a traitor in the United States Secret Service...until now. And the evidence points to Pete Garrison (Douglas), one of the most trusted agents on the force. Now on the run, with two relentless federal investigators (Sutherland and Longoria) hot on his heels, Garrison must fight to clear his name and thwart an attempt on the President's life before it's too late!
Psycho II / Psycho III / Psycho IV: The Beginning
PSYCHO II
After years of treatment at a mental institution for the criminally insane, Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) still can't quite elude the demands of "Mother." Vera Miles also returns as the inquisitive woman who is haunted by her sister's brutal murder and the ominous motel where it all occurred.

Meg Tilly and Dennis Franz co-star in this terrifying sequel to tone of the most suspenseful films of all time.

PSYCHO III
Anthony Perkins stars in and directs the most shocking Psycho film of all: Psycho III.

After years in prison, Norman Bates returns home to the Bates Motel. When a pretty young woman (Diana Scarwid) runs to the motel – and Norman's open arms – to escape a scandalous secret, he finally gets a chance at a new life. But he has one murderous skeleton in his closet that will do anything to keep from sharing him. It's a new day at the Bates Motel, but the nightmares are just beginning...

PSYCHO IV: THE BEGINNING
In this chilling prequel to the classic Hitchcock thriller, Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) is drawn to a late night radio show, where the host (C.C.H. Pounder) encourages him to share his views on the topic of matricide - the murder of a mother by her own child. Reliving his childhood, Norman recounts his trials as a young boy (Henry Thomas) living with his widowed schizophrenic mother (Olivia Hussey). These haunting memories are more than just images of the past; they threaten to rekindle his killing urge in this spine-chilling thriller.
The Unborn
Enter a world of unrelenting evil as terror finds a new form in The Unborn. From the producers of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the co-writer of The Dark Knight comes this shocking supernatural thriller about a young woman (Odette Yustman) plagued by chilling dreams and tortured by a demonic ghost that haunts her waking hours. Her only hope to break the debilitating paranormal curse is in an exorcism with spiritual advisor Sendak (Gary Oldman). See what lies beyond the doorway of our world in this non-stop nightmare of the undead…
The Grudge
From filmmaker Sam Raimi (Spider-Man®, Army of Darkness) and acclaimed Japanese director Takashi Shimizu comes a terrifying tale of horror in the tradition of The Ring and 28 Days Later.

Sarah Michelle Gellar (TV’s "Buffy The Vampire Slayer") stars as an American nurse who has come to work in Tokyo. Following a series of horrifying and mysterious deaths, she encounters the vengeful supernatural spirit that possesses its victims, claims their souls, then passes its curse to another person in a spreading chain of horror. Now, she must find a way to break this supernatural spell or become the next victim of an ancient evil that never dies, but forever lives to kill.
Only Angels Have Wings
A two-fisted adventure tale set in South America, ONLY ANGELS HAVE WINGS stars Cary Grant as the tough-talking head of an air-freight service operating in the dangerous Andes Mountains. Jean Arthur co-stars as a vacationing showgirl competing with Rita Hayworth for Grant's affections. A potent combination of humor, romance and action, the film was directed by Howard Hawks, the legendary director responsible for Red River, His Girl Friday, Bringing Up Baby, and the original Scarface. A triumph of casting, ONLY ANGELS HAVE WINGS is one of the best examples of Columbia chief Harry Cohn's skill in developing talent. Cary Grant had just been released from his contract with Paramount when Cohn, sensing that the handsome leading man was poised for stardom, turned him into Columbia's most durable star. Jean Arthur was an unexceptional veteran of over 50 films before Cohn "discovered" something in her that previous studios had overlooked. Teaming her with director Frank Capra, he created one of the finest comediennes in Hollywood history. And Rita Hayworth, Cohn's personal protégée, was a pure product of the studio system. Groomed for stardom from the first, ONLY ANGELS HAVE WINGS offered her a chance to learn from the best in the business. And the rest, as they say, is history.
The Fall
Filmed over a period of 4 years in 18 different countries, Tarsem's The Fall is an unforgettable movie experience. In 1920s Los Angeles, Alexandria (Catinca Untaru), a 5-year-old girl hospitalized from a fall, strikes up an unlikely friendship with Roy (Lee Pace, TV's "Pushing Daisies"), a Hollywood stuntman shattered by a near-fatal movie set accident and his lover's betrayal. To pass the time, he tells Alexandria the epic story of Governor Odious and the 5 remarkable heroes determined to defeat him – a dazzling world of magic and myth. Only when the line between reality and fantasy begins to dissolve does Alexandria realize how much is truly at stake. Presented by David Fincher (Fight Club) and Spike Jonze (Adaptation), The Fall is an awe-inspiring, cinematic tour de force.
Air Force One
Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman and Glenn Close star in two-time Oscar®-nominee* Wolfgang Petersen's gripping thriller about a steadfast U.S. President who has just told the world he will not negotiate with terrorists. Now, Russian neo-nationalists have hijacked Air Force One, and the President is faced with a nearly impossible decision – give in to terrorist demands or sacrifice not only the country's dignity, but the lives of his wife and daughter.

*1981, Das Boot, Director, Screenplay Adaptation
The Lost Boys
Sam and his older brother Michael are all-American teens with all-American interests.  But after they move with their mother to peaceful Santa Carla, California, things mysteriously begin to change.  Michael's not himself lately.  And Mom's not going to like what he's turning into.

The Lost Boys reshapes vampire tradition, deftly mixing heart-pounding terror, rib-tickling laughs and a body-gyrating rock soundtrack.  Under Joel Schumacher's direction, a marvelous cast — Jason Patric, Jami Gertz, Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Feldman, Corey Haim, Barnard Hughes and Edward Herrmann — stakes you to gleefully ghoulish entertainment.

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
Dear Viewer,

If you enjoy movies filled with singing rabbits, exploding spaceships, or cheerleaders, you are holding the wrong DVD entirely.

This movie is extremely alarming, an expression which here means "a thrilling misadventure involving three ingenious orphans and a villainous actor named Count Olaf (Carrey) who wants their enormous fortune." It includes a suspicious fire, delicious pasta, Jim Carrey, poorly behaved leeches, an incredibly deadly viper, Meryl Streep, and the voice of an impostor named Jude Law. The only things that could make such a spectacle more upsetting are special features, such as commentary by me or outtakes involving nervous laughter.

I am bound to continue my research into the lives of the Baudelaire orphans, but you are free to seek lighter fare, like bleu cheese fondue.

With all due respect,
Lemony Snicket
Thank you
David

I just bought a collection of 172 Blu-Ray DVDs off of someone locally. About half of them are unopened and most of the rest are in mint condition. The only downside is a few of them are Blu-Ray DVD combos and they gave away the DVDs.

They cost me little more than $4. apiece. That might seem like a lot but over half of them are Criterion Collection films and there are a bunch of box sets and TV series.
I think the most expensive one I got is Lost: The Complete Collection. The SRP on invelos is $279  :stars: and I got it for 4 bucks and change!  :yahoo:

Are they open? If they aren't I don't think it would be a problem (you can always say to Amazon it was for a gift and the person had them already...). If they are I don't think it's possible...

To be sure i understand correctly, the list you just posted are the new blu-rays and if you have dvd versions of them you might be interested in selling them ..
Yes?

And if so .. are you talking about comparing against the list on dvdProfiler?  If so, why are there so many blanks on the list?

Thanks

I'll upload my collection again on profiler. I've had problems uploading my collection online before and it must have happened again when I put in some of the new DVDs.

I'm not selling the extra DVDs - you can have them for the cost of shipping and handling.

I do, so I know what I am talking about :P

Well, it's only really one scene specifically where less resolution is helpful to the viewer.

I still remember being quite disappointed by that film.
