Worst than the Sliders one or the ones for the Universal Classic Monster Set (I pray each time to not break the DVD when I remove one...), they are kind of hard to beat.

Guess it's 100% sure that you'll scratch at least one DVD and that it will be annoying to check the last disc on those two huge pile.

For 30$ this is sure cheap, even putting each disc in an enveloppe would be better.

P.S : The guy is sure really boring to listen and annoying with his repeated hit on the case. It isn't so hard to do some effort

:o

Sorry about that... :bag:

Well, seeing how the box contains 32 discs something horrible like that was to be expected. I have The Frighteners from the UK which has about 5 discs on a spindle like that, but 32...? That is really lame. I agree that envolopes may have been better.

What I will do: I will get an empty DVD spindle (the ones where you buy bland CD/DVD in bulk from a shop) and move them onto that while going through the stack. That way I won't have lift the whole stack each time I move on the the next disc. (Hope I made that clear :-[)

No reason to be sorry... Still can't beat it for the price. Though something like envelopes would have been better. I would have liked to have seen envelopes with episode titles and plots for each disc. But oh well... what can you do?

And I was thinking of the same thing when it came to watching them.

My sister in law showed up today with a belated Birthday present for me...

The Devil Inside
In 1989, emergency responders received a 9-1-1 call from Maria Rossi confessing to three brutal murders. The courts found her insane, but something else found her first. Twenty years later, her daughter Isabella's search for answers leads her to an exorcism by two rogue priests, revealing that her mother is possessed by four powerful demons. Now, Isabella must face pure evil or forsake her soul. Discover why The Devil Inside is the movie critics call "riveting"* and "terrifying."*

At various moments, since I last posted in this thread, I received:

Firefly: The Complete Series
Five hundred years in the future there's a whole new frontier, and the crew of the Firefly-class spaceship Serenity is eager to stake a claim on the action. They'll take any job, legal or illegal, to keep fuel in the tanks and food on the table. But things get a bit more complicated after they take on a passenger wanted by the new totalitarian Alliance regime. Now they find themselves on the run, desperate to steer clear of Alliance ships and the flesh-eating Reavers who live on the fringes of space.

Serenity
The action-packed adventure Serenity continues on Blu-ray Hi-Def! With exclusive all-new bonus features, this must-own edition takes you deeper into the incredible worlds created by Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly). It's an edge-of-your-seat experience that can't be missed.

House of Flying Daggers
"Prepare your eyes for popping," in this "martial-arts fireball that throws in a lyrical love story, head-spinning fights and dazzling surprises" (Rolling Stone). " A gorgeous entertainment" (A.O. Scott, The New York Times). Mei is an exotic, beautiful blind dancer, associated with a dangerous revolutionary gang, known as The House of Flying Daggers. Captured by officers of the decadent Tang Dynasty, Mei's heart and loyalties battle each other, amid warriors in the treetops and dazzling combat - the likes of which have never before been seen!

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Two master warriors (CHOW YUN FAT and MICHELLE YEOH) are faced with their greatest challenge when the treasured Green Destiny sword is stolen. A young aristocrat (ZHANG ZIYI) prepares for an arranged marriage, but soon reveals her superior fighting talents and her deeply romantic past. As each warrior battles for justice, they come face to face with their worst enemy - and the inescapable, enduring power of love. Set against 19th-century China's breathtaking landscape, CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON is the action-packed, box office smash from acclaimed director Ang Lee (Sense and Sensibility, The Ice Storm) featuring stunning martial arts choreography by Yuen Wo Ping (The Matrix).

The Hurt Locker
War is a drug. Nobody knows that better than Sergeant James, head of an elite squad of soldiers tasked with disarming bombs in the heat of combat. To do this nerve shredding job, you have to thrive in a zone where the margin of error is zero and somehow survive with your body and soul intact. Powerfully realistic, action-packed, unrelenting and intense, THE HURT LOCKER has been hailed by critics as "an adrenaline-soaked tour de force" (A.O. Scott, The New York Times) and "one of the great war movies." (Richard Corliss, Time)

The Three Musketeers

The Woman in Black
Based on the classic ghost story, The Woman in Black tells the tale of Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe), a lawyer who is forced to leave his young son and travel to a remote village to attend to the affairs of the recently deceased owner of Eel Marsh House. When those closest to him become threatened by the vengeful woman in black, Kipps must find a way to break the cycle of terror.

Hero
Master filmmaker Quentin Tarantino presents Hero - starring martial arts legend Jet Li. This standout SpeciaL Edition, remastered and including an exciting new bonus feature, is a visually stunning epic where a fearless warrior rises up to defy an empire and unite a nation. With supernatural skill - and no fear - a nameless soldier (Jet Li} embarks on a mission of revenge against the fearsome army that massacred his people. Now, to achieve the justice he seeks, he must take on the empire's most ruthless assassins and reach the enemy he has sworn to defeat! Acclaimed by critics and honored with numerous awards, Hero was nominated for an Oscar® (Best Foriegn Language Film, 2002) and Golden Globe!

*Bryan Erdy, CBS-TV/Movie Planet

Armageddon
From the mega-hitmakers who produced and directed The Rock and Pearl Harbor comes Armageddon. And now, this mind-blowing action-adventure explodes on Blu-ray™ for the first time ever! Bruce Willis (Surrogates, Sin City) and Academy Award® winners Ben Affleck (1997, Best Original Screenplay, Good Will Hunting) and Billy Bob Thornton (1996, Best Adapted Screenplay, Sling Blade) head an all-star cast that includes Liv Tyler (The Lord of the Rings trilogy), Steve Buscemi (Con Air) and Will Patton (Gone in 60 Seconds).

When NASA's director (Thornton) realizes the Earth has 18 days before it's destroyed by a meteor the size of Texas, he has only one option: land a ragtag team of roughneck oil drillers on the asteroid and drop a nuke into its core. With spectacular special effects, laugh-out-loud humor, a riveting story and a rockin' soundtrack featuring Aerosmith and Bon Jovi, this adrenaline-pumping thrill ride now boasts the staggeringly intense picture and incomparable theater-quality sound of Blu-ray High Definition.

Starring Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter turned small-time promoter, Real Steel is a riveting, white-knuckle action ride that will leave you cheering. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. How is this movie? Wal-Mart has the Blu-Ray on sale for $4 this week and I almost picked it up as a blind buy.

Some people say it's bad.
Some people say it's worse.
But there are people who seem to like it.

I never saw it.
