Even though it has been several years now, I still remember the difference changing to cable internet made.  The fastest I could get before was like 36...more often 28.8...and that was with a 56K modem.

Yesterday I got trepidation over the excessive DNR in the Blu-ray release of Breakfast at Tiffany's. I've decided to toughen up and ride it out. :stars:

Strange ...

Just read this review and am not able to confirm the DNR problems (watching on a 50" plasma).
True, it sometimes seems somewhat too soft (esp. in face close-ups, but that might be a Make-Up problem), but the details are always clearly there (check out the "Rain-sequences", where you can literally see every single raindrop that is running down the raincoats)

For someone who wasn't too enthusiastic for the october marathon this year you sure get some new DVDs for it :tease:

I think I understand you and I will probably start working on my banner this week (I'll try to do a different one for the general one that list and rate the film of everyone)...

BTW contrary to you I haven't watch an horror film since july 12

Yeah... Still not to psyched about it this year... but I am trying to push myself into it. I am still watching the horror... but not nearly as much as I would normally.

The fact that your record is almost unbreakable maybe play a part in this as you don't have this motivation... Seriously what it is if we include the movie, TV episode and documentary? 200, 300, 400...

Adding all 3 together? maybe... close to 200. But I would have to check last year's thread to be sure.

:thanks:

That's actually quite a relief!
I can't remember which (other) forum I read it on, but it reminds me of someone's comments about reviewers feeling they're not reviewing properly if they're not picking faults. Also, this being a 50 year old movie, most reviewers wouldn't have seen it in its initial run (and even if they had, whose memory is that good?), so don't necessarily understand the way the picture is "meant" to look.

I now, once more, look forward to seeing this movie for the first time.
