I don't disagree with you that those stories should be scary and violent Jon but unlike the old fairy tales, which were in books and told by people, movies are very graphical in nature and they leave little place for viewers to make their own imagery within the limit of what they're comfortable with.

That's a very good point and I hope the book isn't "lost" to younger readers just because there is a film now.

Oh! Oh! Please do review it soon! Pretty please?
I'll try.

It's the kind of movie I watch with my friend. But with the recent orders coming in there is now loads of stuff to see and he usually prefers horror. But then again, the other posts after yours almost confirm it's proper horror...

Pushing Daisies: Season Two (£17.56 at Amazon.co.uk)
Completing another series.
Sliders: Season Four (£16.54 at Amazon.co.uk)
I have had this one on my wishlist for ages, but I wasn't prepared to pay too much for this weak season (as far as I remember).
Grease (£10.22 at Amazon.co.uk)
I love it when the song "Summer Nights" (or variations thereof) comes up in other shows or movies. Though I have seen this movie only once years ago.

Today I picked up The Villain at my local supermarket.  I reviewed it not too long ago from a rented copy and I wasn't crazy about it but I recently decided I wanted to get all of Kirk Douglas' westerns so I felt I had to get it even if it's probably the least of his westerns.  And even though I had to settle for pan & scan which I believe is the only version of this movie available in the U.S.

Roger, I hate to tell you but you are a very sick man - see the bold areas above. You have become obsessed with this DVD collecting and will need long time and extensive therapy. Trust me I know...I'm as sick as you are! :tease:

An old order was waiting for me at my home as a welcome back gift.

From Amazon.ca

It's been a while since I've bought something from the Something Weird Video label

A book was in this one too and it looks like a good read
