Quantum of Solace (€14.89 at Amazon.de)
For the finale of our James Bond marathon. Also my first release, which has the new ugly German rating on the front cover. I do not mind so much, that it is now on the front cover (British releases also have it there), but the sheer size of it destroys any cover art work.
Alfred Hitchcock: 6 Filme DVD Box (€9.95 at Amazon.de)
For the start of our Hitchcock marathon. It includes:
  • The 39 Steps
  • Sabotage
  • Secret Agent
  • The Lady Vanishes
  • Spellbound
  • The Paladin Case

Great :) 3 movies that I like too with great music in them. Another one with a good soundtrack is Top Gun, but the movie isn't that great 20 years later.

OK... that post made me shudder just a bit.  :P Sorry Karsten... nothing against you... just far FAR FAR from my taste in movies.  :tease: But my wife would have sat there and watched every one of those with you. I am so glad I don't have to force myself through that stuff anymore! :P I painfully remember one night I had to suffer through Grease, Grease 2 & Footloose in one sitting! I think I was in convulsions before it was over.  :P

I listened to that very Soundtrack yesterday evening. iTunes is usually running when I am on the computer.

And more's coming: Saturday Night Fever and Staying Alive

Then only Fame and A Corus Line is missing. ;)

BTW: My music collection is just as diverse. There's Queen besides ABBA besides Meat Loaf besides Aqua. ;)

And for those of you who don't know Aqua:

I know of Aqua-Man... but for some reason I don't think it is the same thing.  :P

Edit:
Oh... and I had Meat Loaf for dinner the other night. Does that count? I have made better though.  :yucky:

Pete, I always wondered what you thought about the music in "Jaws". You MUST have liked that!

BTW: Did you know that Angelina Jolie played in the 1994 music clip of Meat Loaf's "Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through" and that the video was directed by Michael Bay?

There was music in Jaws?  :P

I can usually phase out and not even really notice background music and such in regular movies.

 Karsten is on a roll with music videos... But surely you cannot seriously except Pete to click Play on any of those...?

I was surprised to see that Jolie and Bay worked with Meat Loaf like that... Is that song from Bat out of Hell 2?
