Pete, you could try to catch more Castle episodes on TNT..they will be back to season 1 on Tuesday at 5pm est..since the first season is so short, I'm thinking they will get into season 2 Wednesday or Thursday. Right now, they are airing episodes from the first four seasons. I know it isn't as convenient as the DVDs, but it is a way you could see more of the show until you can get the DVDs.

Thanks... I am almost done season 1. Only 2 more episodes of season 1 to watch. I also have the option to see the episodes on On-Demand. I have also seen some of them at the library... so I have options to see them all!

Anne Lockhart as Jess
My Thoughts:
I felt like a bit of nostalgia today. These are episodes I haven't seen since I was a little kid! I would say it has been a good 35 years! Oh I feel old! I really don't remember much about these third season episodes... not like I was able to remember some from the first two seasons. This disc has some good episodes... I especially liked the two part episodes that starts this season. Very good storyline that really pulls you in. The one thing I don't like about the third season of this series is that they dropped Nancy Drew completely from the series! While yes, I did like The Hardy Boys... I always liked Nancy Drew even more. It saddens me that I won't get to see her at all while watching this season... but at least I know that I do have all her episodes that I can watch any time I want.

The OC: The Complete Series
I know I haven't posted about this series since Season 1 Disc 2... but I have been watching the set almost non-stop. I have become completely addicted to this show! I just now finished of Season 2 (out of 4) And let me tell you... this series has not failed to keep you enthralled. I been glued to the screen while watch. And that is saying a lot from me... as I don't normally like pure drama series. I mainly wanted to watch this series because of my becoming a fan of Rachel Bilson after seeing her in her new series
Hart of Dixie
. Turns out... in the beginning of this show she was a real bitch. But it didn't take long for her to get more likable. She still has a bitchy streak to her... but now she is one of my favorite characters. If this is a show you never seen before... I definitely recommend checking it out! Highly recommended!

The OC: The Complete Series
I just finished watching the third season. Over-all I would say it isn't quite as good as the previous two seasons... though I still enjoyed it very much. Definitely had it's ups and downs. But at the same time it had an unbelievable season finale. So much so that I can't wait to start the 4th (final) season. Though I am concerned for this next season. Going by the finale one of the main characters most likely will not be there in the final season. And the kids are going from High School to College... so there is bound to be lots of changes for the final season. So I am really going into this last season without knowing what to expect.

Sorry to hear you couldn't get into it... I found it to be a pretty amazing roller coaster ride with lots of surprises running the entire gambit of dramatic circumstances. This is a set I am sure I will enjoy again sometime.

The OC: The Complete Series
Well, I just finished off the entire set (except for the last couple bonus features discs)... and I must say Wow! What a ride! I was worried about the final season... but turns out I enjoyed it quite a bit. Wasn't as good as the first 2 seasons... but it was just as good as the third season. And I have to say... I am so relieved that the series had a proper ending. Going into it I didn't know if it was canceled out of nowhere or if the series had closure. The series finale even went as far as showing how all the main characters of the series ended up... years into the future. I always liked when series did that.
Once again I need to thank my daughter for getting me this complete series set for my birthday... I thought it was amazing!

Basically it is about a public defender and his wife taking in a troubled teen. Though it isn't really about them... but the teens of the show.
There is...
Ryan: The troubled teen played by Benjamin McKenzie. He is taken out of his down and out town of Cheno, Ca. He is taken in by the public defender and his family... relocating him to The O.C. (Orange County)
Seth: The public defender's son played by Adam Brody. Basic comic book geek that is basically spending his life invisible until Ryan shows up in his life.
Marissa: The girl next door played by Mischa Barton. A girl Ryan falls in love with at first sight.
Summer: Marissa's best friend played by Rachel Bilson. The rich and privileged bitch type. And the girl that Seth has been in love with since the 5th grade.
The series is a pure drama. Basically a teen soap. But one that I found to be extremely entertaining. Had no trouble keeping my attention from pilot episode to series finale.

Everwood: The Complete First Season
IMDb
|
Wikipedia
|
Trailer/Intro
|
As a world-class neurosurgeon, Dr. Andrew Brown is a hero. As a father, he's a zero. But that is changing. Tragedy makes him a single parent to his two children. And as the first act of his new life, Andy leaves Manhattan and moves his family to Everwood, the tiny Colorado town where big dreams can grow.
The relationship between Andy and his talented but resentful 15-year-old son Ephram forms the heart of these 23 first-season episodes of Everwood, the acclaimed, richly layered series created by Greg Berlanti. Treat Williams plays Andy, learning parenting on the fly as he raises Ephram (Gregory Smith) and 9-year-old Delia (Vivien Cardone). Unafraid to tackle big issues, spiked with sharp humor and filled with engaging characters, Everwood is a place and a series that rewards each visit you make.

1. Pilot
2. The Great Doctor Brown
3. Friendly Fire
4. The Kissing Bridge

Stars:
Treat Williams as Dr. Andrew "Andy" Brown
Gregory Smith as Ephram Brown
Emily VanCamp as Amy Abbott
Debra Mooney as Edna Harper
John Beasley as Irv Harper
My Thoughts:
I just finished off the complete first season. Normally a drama series is not my type of thing. But in the case of
Everwood
I was hooked from the pilot episode... and I remained hooked through-out the entire season. I found this series to just be simply amazing. I liked all the character and the storyline advanced in a way that made you want to hurry and watch the next episode. And all I can say is WOW! on how the season ended... I so can't wait to continue on to the second season! This is one series I can't recommend high enough! This makes two drama series in a row that I fell in love with. My tastes must be maturing with age.

Oh krikey! Now I've got a little angel on my right shoulder saying "Stop reading TV show reviews. You don't need any more. Finish the ones you got!" and a little devil on my left shouldet saying "But this show sounds amazing! Just on more won't hurt!".
Is there a DVDcollectors Anonymous? Oh, what the f***, it's only £14.99 at Amazon UK. But if I spend over £25 I can get free delivery!
Sigh, I guess I'm a hopeless case...

This website certainly isn't it
I agree, this does seem to be a good TV series. I may have to check out some clips myself...
