Actually I didn't like "The Departed" all that much.
Have you seen the original? I thought The Departed was a worthy remake, but I can see someone taking issue with it.

No, I haven't seen the original. Before I had watched "The Departed" I had planned, that if I enjoy it, I will order the original trilogy. But after I had watched "The Departed", I was not running to get to see the originals anymore.

What was it in particular about The Departed that you didn't like? It's just Infernal Affairs is rather different outside of the core plot. It's a simple idea given a Michael Mann style polish. I found as I said before, Scorcese's take is more bloated. I could see he was giving it a religious significance, but still, the original is so lean and tight.

I have to admit, that I do not really remember the movie. Movies that I don't enjoy all that much don't really stay in my mind. I only remember that it bored me.
