You're targeting July, I assume?

Seems like we are a few who are game even at such short notice, so yes, July is fine for me. Even though the nice weather has come back now and I will go to the lake a few times after work (and I probably cannot take any vacation in July because of some deadlines, I am targeting August for a two-week vacation now). I will have to make a tighter schedule for watching movies (and not watching so many three-hours Bollywood movies ), but it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I could probably manage this is July.  I may make a few....creative choices, but I think I'll be able to do it.

I had to cut mine short last time due to vision problems (I also recall one of my DVD players died on me then) so I'll try to go whenever you decide to have it.

I took the liberty to open two related threads.

They used indeed to be called "annual November Alphabet Marathon", but obviously I had to get rid of the month.

You can start preparing your lists.

Do we all use the same thread?  I didn't do this last year - work was interfering with my DVD watching.

As you have see by now, usually we have a thread for the lists what we have watched and a thread for "reviews", should we decide to post one. Last time Jimmy and Pete had their own threads, as they reviewed every item watched, I think.

You seem to be confusing this forum with one that has rules. ;)

But seriously, the marathon is mainly a means to get ourselves to watch the movies we own. Not that we really need incentives, but doing stuff like that together is just more fun. So why make it less fun with rules. Heck, if someone were to say they will watch 26 movies releated to Sesame Street (because they explain the alphabet to kids) or if someone was to watch 26 movies with Alphabet in the title, that is entierly up to them. It's the fun that counts.

Because there was such a high participation in this month's alphabet marathon, I thought I just list some of the other type of marathons we did in the past. Maybe there is interest to do one of these in the following months.

Reverse Alphabet Marathon: Same as the Alphabet Marathon, but the last letter in the title counts
By title length: I vaguely remember doing this marathon.
Mixed Alphabet Marathon: You can decide for each letter, if you take the first or the last letter from the title.

Since you had used the plurals for month, I must note the most anticipated marathon of them all...

The October Horror Halloween Marathon

It's the only one where at least two of us stop watching horror completly months before to get in the right mood.
