Topic: Green Lantern Movie Possibly In Works

Wow that fan made trailer is awesome!

But I'm having a blank moment - where is that music from? I've heard it before, but I can't remember where..

I think it was Dark Knight...

I read this morning that Tim Robbins has been added to the cast of the Green Lantern movie.  He is playing a senator who is the father of Hector Hammond, a villain.  I vaguely remember that name but I don't really recall the character much or what his powers or abilities are.

I also read that a documentary on DC Comics is being made.  That could be interesting.

Id like to see that documentary... however I can imagine it will be inaccurate.. as with Marvels history people are always disagreeing about characters and how they were invented :p

Hopefully, that's just Marvel...and their screwing with Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko and such.  I'm hoping DC would be more willing to give proper credit.  I'd actually be more interested in the early days...back in the Golden Age of the 1940s...in the days of the Justice Society and the original versions of Hawkman, Green Lantern, The Flash and others.

Green Arrow was always my favourite character... but I did not like his original "batman copy" form :p I much prefer his mocking of it now.

yeah, I just listen to Stan Lee's take on it. That dude did his part and I think out of all the writers, creators, etc., he's the one to go to for comic info and inside stuff.

lol, jk, but ok, whatever, but all the documentaries itself makes sense and connects together, like the origin of Wolverine, Spidey's webshooters, etc.....

No, ive just heard that he has twisted alot of things to make it sound like he had alot more creative in put in certain popular characters stories :p

well, I gotta ask, like, really? cuz I heard he was kinda the opposite cuz in most of the stuff I've seen, like in interviews with him and such, he always covers how he didn't create a lot of the characters, he didn't create the groups, he just added in a few characters that he was very surprised became so popular.

Green Arrow or Green Archer?


I simply can't tell the difference! But wouldn't it be cool if they did that and did a cameo for Batman, cuz I remember those two were always competing!!!

Well the Green Arrow was based on a book called the Green Archer :p

and yep, Arrow and Bats were always competing when they were first released ;P Arrow even had a "Arrow car"

more recently they have separated the two characters... I even remember in one more recent issue of JLA I believe Batman said to Arrow "Have you ever had a original idea in your life?"

I actually could only reference to the cartoons. Like I said, I don't read DC that much.


But a live action Green Lantern should be pretty good. That ring can do anything you can imagine. Everyone wants one!

Even one time of Static Shock, he caught Richey playing superhero, and he was all, "Don't sweat it. Sometimes I pretend to be a Green Lantern. 'Hail the Guardians of the Universe!'"
