Maybe your DVD was more obvious, but the difference in quality is staggering overall.

I think they had done such things with King Kong when it was released on DVD few years back (SO looking forward to the Blu in September).
Ok, does anyone have a remedy for burnt eyeballs?I put the Blu-Ray on for The Searchers. Only for a moment and it was long enough to wet myself at the sight of Monument Valley in hi-def, but so far as vision concerned, still ok.
You've never seen The Sound of Music? You should check it out, it was one of my favourite films as a kid. I think when I was 10 years old I used to watch it almost everyday, our VHS of it basically stopped working by the end.
