A lot of snow is supposed to be headed this way.  Oh goody.  But least I managed to find some boots that fit better this year.

I've only been to the snow once in my whole life. It never snows here during winter only up in the hills and of course the mountains. I can't imagine what it must be like to have it snow so regularly.

This has been happening in the sate of Queensland, Australia, and probably still is in many parts.
Things do actually happen outside of the United States believe it or not.

That seems rather terrible! We have this in Germany quite regularly as well, but luckily not where I live.

I saw some of the devastation from that flood - unbelievable. I always thought of that area as having droughts - I never knew about the flooding or how extensive it is.

I do have that one. 

It has been snowing here most of the day.  If it keeps up, I won't be able to get out to go to work in the morning.  Least not by 9....  there is tendency here that if schools are closed - and they will be with how much snow we already have - then they don't bother to deal with the roads until later.

So just how far is it from southern Rhode Island to northern Rhode Island.....about 30 miles???  

70 miles and you won't believe me, but the weather is completely different here as opposed to the northern part of the state. That is because of the proximity of southern Rhode Island to the ocean and the input of Narragansett Bay on weather fronts and storms. There are times when the north gets a couple of inches of snow and we get almost a foot and a half. It depends on which way the storm is moving and where a cold front is approaching from and how fast.
