We've gotten a good amount of snow today though I'm not sure exactly how much.  I just went out and it was still snowing.  I trudged through the snow up the lane and across the street to a gas station to get a burrito.  There's probably at least a couple of inches of snow out there now and it'll doubtless be deeper by morning.  :surrender:

It started snowing Friday morning and snowed until about 1 or 2 this afternoon - Saturday.  There is a lot of snow out there.

I'm not sure how much snow we got...but it was a lot!  I'd say probably over a foot of snow.  In fact, we lost electrical power because of it this morning and it was out for over 7 hours.  Luckily, the power is back but the storm's effects remain...now most of our cable channels are breaking up.  It makes me wonder if I'll even be able to watch the Super Bowl?  I can watch DVDs in the meantime but this is a rare event in which I kind of like both teams and would like to watch, even though "my" team isn't playing this year.

There is electric out in the state...mine has stayed on thankfully.  It went off once and then came right back on.  It was long enough for me to panic a bit though.

We been lucky... our electric has stayed on the whole time. And it snowed most all day yesterday... and not sure about last night. Because of all the snow I didn't bother going outside (didn't even bother to check the mail). So this morning I decided to look out the back door to see what we got. And what do I see?...

yeah... that is a bunch of icicles hanging down from our gutter... and yes that giant one is right in the middle of our back doorway. It hangs down almost all the way down to the porch.

I know this probably don't look like all that much snow... but for a place that usually only gets 1 dusting each winter... 2 snow storms like this two weeks in a row is huge around here!  :P

I just went outside...I wanted to check what the front of my garage door looked like and there's no way I'm getting my car out of there.  The snow in front of it is about a foot high.  I'm supposed to have dialysis tomorrow and now I'm wondering if I'm going to be able to make it.

I know what you mean Roger... Britt has a dentist appointment tomorrow and I think I may have to call and cancel it first thing in the morning. But is it safe to miss a dialysis appointment?

Buffalo has only had 2 lake effect snow storms this year. Neither one had much impact and within a day the streets and sidewalks were bone dry. It is cold out but...no snow! I don't think my yard has had more than a couple of inches built up all year. According to the local news Wednesday will finally bring our first big snow storm.

The southern tier, about 45 minutes from the city, has all the snow. This works out great because that's where the toboggan runs and ski slopes are. I hope to be back on my feet in time to get some winter fun in.

Dialysis probably keeps me healthier than I would be without it so it's probably not smart to miss it.  My brother will probably come to take me if I can't get there myself.  We'll see what happens.

More snow today.  It snowed most of the day..stopped for a while and has started back up.  The temperature is supposed to drop really fast tonight too..and more snow.  I think they are saying like  2 more inches.  I have no idea any more.

I managed to navigate the slippery driveway today..even shoveled some of the snow.  Then later I'm in the house and manage to trip over a throw rug and fall on my face.  I still ache from that fall.

I was pretty excited because the news last night warned we might get hit with our first major storm. So when I went to let the dogs out I was expecting lots of snow - there is barely an inch covering my sidewalk. I turned on the morning news and it looks like "we dodged a bullet" again. This is Buffalo...where is my snow?!?

We also got some more snow last night.  I got an early phone call today (just before 7am) from my eye doctor's office, telling me not to come in.  I had an appointment for today but they're closing the offices and I was told not to come in.  I still have to go to dialysis again today.  I'll try to drive there myself.  The worst part is getting up my lane...after that, it's mostly fairly level ground to the dialysis facility.
