27+ feral cats (I trap them, get them fixed and release them back to their colonies on my street) .

That's actually really awesome Kathy.

These days I try not to pick up any new buying habbits, because I'm one of those people that once they get started... they have to have it all.

Other than my dvd collection however, I'm a huge collector of comics. Have loved comics for about 20 years. Been buying 'em since I was maybe 6 or 7 years old. Currently up to 8350 comics in my collection... and if anyone thought finding storage space for dvd's was hard?  :stars:

I also collect mini-busts and statues related to Marvel Comics released by a company called Bowen Designs. Here's an example of the product they put out: http://www.bowendesigns.com/sculptures.asp?type=m

Not sure how many of those I've got, haven't counted in a year. Probably about 200 maybe? Between $59.99 and $129.99 a pop... that's an expensive hobby to take up.

I used to collect C.D.'s, but like almost everyone else in this digital age, I'm mostly a digital single guy now. My C.D. collection has sat stagnant at around 2500-3000 for a few years now. I only buy physical albums for those artists that I really truly adore.

That's about it for my collections.

Those mini-busts look cool.  I wouldn't mind having some myself..but I have no where to put them.

Space is a huge issue. I have five detolfs (sold at Ikea) and one extra bookcase (left over from my VHS days...) that I have them displayed in now. I have room for probably about 30, maybe 40 more... after that, no idea what the hell I'm going to do. That's not including the boxes they come in... :stars:

Dust is a huge issue too. I just finished cleaning and re-organizing them two days ago. Between dusting all the busts (very carefully as not to break them, chip them etc.) and the shelves, it took me three days to complete.

I'm sure dusting takes a while.  I hate dusting.
And that reminds me...I need to do some dusting again.  And change the cat boxes.  Something else I hate.

Used to collect CDs (and still have quite a nice collection of about 700) but since the prices for music became nearly unpayable I dropped that.

From my youth I collect comic books, sadly not the cheap superhero booklets but the more expensive collector's and/or limited editions. Still spend quite unreasonable amounts on this.

I don't collect like I used to. I still have collections of stuff that I intend to keep but no longer add to (such as my baseball card collection).

I still collect:

- DVDs (though I don't really count those as "collecting" as much as "just having")
- Stamps (yes, I'm a nerd)
- Magic trick props (another hobby)
- Fun graphics, sounds, movie clips, and programs from the Internet
- Soda can tabs (odd, I know) I have around 4,500 tabs and have only been collecting for 3 years.

I also collect dust given the number of hours that I sit at my computer
I have a collection.
It can be found here.
No need to check it often.
I update it only twice a year!

Never go to bed mad. Sleep on the couch instead.

There are a few broken branches in every family tree.

original art: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=32100
wife has a sizable collection of Lucille Ball items as well as clowns and old marionettes, she has one that is a bit horrifying hanging in the stairwell...

I've been getting a few more movie posters in the last year or so.  Not a lot in total, and they aren't hanging up anywhere right now, but I have them.
I'm still trying to decide if I should put them in frames or not.
