Topic: What kind of music do you like?

Hmm, I like alot of music my favourite are

Barenaked Ladies
Harvey Danger
Johnny Cash
Beautiful South
Metallica
Maximo Park (first three albums, not the new stuff)
Franz Ferdinand (Also not there latest album)
Billy Joel (NOT! the guy from Greenday XD)

Im going to see Marilyn Manson next month.

I like many different things ;P heck! Id even class Dewey Cox (A film character, parody of Johnny Cash) as one of my favourites to!

My genre is Rock. I will also venture into Blues-Rock (e.g. Gary Moore) and Hard Rock where appropriate. Soundtracks are another favorite,

My favorite band is (and has been for at least 25 years) Queen, closely followed by Led Zeppelin.

Other favorites are: David Bowie (up to the mid-eighties, then lost track), AC/DC (up to the 90s), The Who, Meat Loaf (up to Bad Attitude), Gary Moore (his later hard Rock stuff and definitely the Blues) and Pete Townshend among others.


Since I am in Taiwan I also started to enjoy Asian Rock music. The two main bands I enjoy are Wu Bai & China Blue (Taiwan) and Beyond (Hong Kong).

There is loads of single songs of a whole variety of genres and artists I like which would not cause me to buy a whole album. This reaches from Spandau Ballet's Gold all the way to Motörhead's Ace of Spades.

Never knew there were so many Queen fans on here! Have you seen Queen On Fire, Live at the Bowl that I finally watched properly for Q in my Alphathon?

I mentioned it once before, I think, but that might have gotten lost in the general discussion of the topic at hand.

No, I haven't watched Live at the Bowl. I own two collections of videos of their songs, but somehow don't feel like sitting down to watch a collection of music videos when I could see a movie I once saw "We Will Rock You"(?) in the theaters when it was shown in my hometown in a special screening; closest I could get to seeing them live (not that I would have spent the money to actually see them at the time).

I once saw Brian May perform in Hamburg; that was after Freddie's death already when he toured to promote his first solo album.

I think that was the same tour I saw him on! In Nottingham, though. I tend to feel the same way about music videos, but I'm glad I made the effort for the marathon. Definitely worth seeing.
