Oh, Pete, there's always something, isn't there? Hope it turns out to be nothing...

Thanks Jon... it does seem that way. But I guess that is part of getting older. She has another appointment on Monday and Friday of next week.
With all these appointments I don't know how well I will do on this month's marathon! I am sure I will watch plenty... but for the first time in 3 years I may not be able to beat last year's totals.

Thanks everyone... I will be going with her to the hospital today. They decided not to even bother testing it the other day. Just schedule it to be removed (said had to come out either way anyway)... and they will then test it and see where we need to go from there. We also have an appointment on Friday for a follow-up.

Well... that was fairly quick... We are now back. And my mother never ceases to surprise me. As elderly and weak as she is... she went through this procedure very well. They didn't put her to sleep... they just numbed the area (due to her lung disease they don't want to give her anesthesia) and removed the lump. And the doctor said she did perfectly... no complaining about any pain... no nothing.
We got to see the mass they removed. it was a little lump of pink flesh... looked like nice healthy flesh to us... but what do we know? We should have the results next week.

No results till next week?
I thought they could find out faster now. When my mom had to have the biopsy first, she knew before she left the hospital.

they had to send it out to another lab. There wasn't one at this place.

Better than our NHS. In my experience (not direct), results average two weeks. It's rubbish.

Ohh..ok. Guess I thought most hospitals had labs that could do that sort of thing now.

I don't know if it has already been mentioned, but James Rolfe (Angry Video Game Nerd) is currently doing his own Halloween Monster movie marathon.
Cinemassacre’s Monster Madness 3: 2009
His short reviews makes even me curious about watching these movies.
